This small hotel is what you could class as a regular 3 star facility. The double rooms are very small but comfortable and adequate if you are staying a couple of nights. The rooms were clean but lacked plugs and rather annoyingly the plug power went off when you took the key out of the lock so you couldnt leave any... We booked what looked online like a nice accommodation with double bed and separate bunk beds. It is actually a small bungalow just outside the hotel on the street level with tiny kid beds and the only bathroom at basement level. Room is dark and gets noise from street. There is no view and the hotel wifi does not work... More

Nice hotel, clean rooms friendly staff. Close to all amenities and the walled city. Sunsets are beautiful ( get a sea side room). The only downsides are parking is on the street if you can find one ( but it's free) not enough plug ins in the room and breakfast wasn't free ( should have been, very basic)

The Beaufort is a delightful, small hotel, well maintained by the proprietors, who are friendly and very helpful. The public space is comfortable and inviting, opening right onto the promenade along the beach/ocean. (Whether the promenade is along the beach or the ocean depends on the tide--at high tide there is virtually no beach at all, at low tide the... More

Stayed June 2012: The Beaufort is a little like an old-fashioned channel seaside holiday hotel. That's not a criticism, just a statement of fact. So don't come here expecting state of the art 2 year old hotel finery. This hotel has a great location, and I strongly recommend getting one of the two ground floor rooms. They are larger by... More

We visited with our adult daughter and son with their spouses for a number of days. The rooms have a wonderful view of the beach: the town is a delightful short walk away; the staff is courteous and helpful; the breakfast pleasant and plentiful. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend the hotel.

I and my girlfriend visited St Malo on a Brittany Ferries short break in April 2014. This was the place that we stayed at. We were highly impressed with the Hotel Beaufort. Particular positive points included: -Good breakfast buffet with decent choiice of bread, fruit, deli items, yoghurt, cake, cereal- served with a wonderful view out over the beach at... More

We had stayed at the Beaufort in 2013 and decided to stay there again this past April. It did not disappoint. Our room, though small, had a terrace which looked out on the Channel and we really enjoyed sitting out there watching the tide roll in and out. The breakfast at the Beaufort is in a lovely room looking out... More

Not only a beautiful location, but a cosy, yet elegant home from home by the sea, the Beaufort has tastefully styled lovely bedrooms, with a terrace, overlooking the sea. The beds are superbly comfortable and the staff welcoming and helpful, as nothing was too much trouble. Elegant bar terrace/salon was a great place to relax and we enjoyed the company... More

We stayed in Hotel Beaufort in last July for 2 nights. Although we arrived very late, the person at the reception was very helpful and welcoming. There was no more sea front rooms available so we were a little bit worried that the standard room would not be so special. We were very surprised: the room was very cosy, the... More
