My friend and I stayed for 1 night in Duplex Room 219. It was not cheap but well worth the money. The view alone is fantastic and we were able to watch the sun setting that evening. The duplex has 2 sleeping areas and 2 bathrooms/shower rooms. Very spacious and comfortable with a fridge and coffee/tea making facilities. We also... More

The hotel is in the old city (intra-muros) of St. Malo and provides a good starting point to explore the city. It is difficult to get there by car, since in July and August the traffic within the old city is limited and streets reserved mostly for pedestrians (which makes a lot of sense with the amount of people packed... Positives: great location, nice view of the cobblestone streets, nice bathroom with a fair amount of space and nice toiletries, room was fairly spacious for France. Negatives: old hotel with old furnishings and very used/old looking sheets and bedspreads and pillows, old and strange looking walls/flooring, no wi-fi, staff was not friendly, breakfast was terrible and very lacking in options.... I stayed here for two nights in July 2014 and it was a really nice hotel really helpful reception staff who got us the timetable for the bus that we were looking for from the Internet. We were lucky enough to have a room with a lovely view over the old Street which was absolutely delightful at night time.

This hotel is located within the "old" walled in town of St. Malot. The original town dates to the Middle Ages, but it was virtually destroyed by Allied bombing in WWII. Only a handful of the original buildings remain. The others have been amazingly rebuilt using the original stone in many cases and others with concrete, but using original stone... More

Spent 3 nights here, in a room facing St Patrick Irish Pub and Port Malo pub, on first floor. Noisy every night. The floors are made of weird plastic (like an underpad) that also continues up one wall. Colours in the room are very bland. The bathtub, in its design, lacks any shower curtain or hook for spray nozzle, making... More

I spent one night at the Hotel de la Cite in a double with sea view for single use. I decided to pay extra for a sea-view room in the old town because I wanted to see low tide during my short stay in St. Malo (and low tide was in the middle of the night) and I also wanted... More

This Hotel is supposed to have Air Condition, but in the 3 rooms that we visited, the AC was not functioning. The noise from the Bars in front of the Hotel was so loud that we could not even leave the window open. At the reception they promised that the AC would be fixed next morning. When we returned next... More
