Very rundown hotel. Reasonably clean but the bed was so old and lumpy it was the worst I have ever experienced. Advertised facilities were not available, no bar, balcony or seaview even though we paid extra and they ran out of food at breakfast. Very difficult access up steep staircase. I would never stay here again, couldn't wait to leave!

The Alpha Ocean is quite basic and far from the historical part of Saint Malo but is convenient as a stopover before catching the morning ferry and is right by the beach. They should pull this one down and build a new hotel........it was disgusting............have never stayed in worse, the children asked if we could sleep in the car! The star rating in France seems to very unreliable.
