We booked a family trip with Brittany Ferries who were a great tour operator and very helpful arranging a large group booking for two nights in the lovely walled town of St Malo. A town most people drive through as they leave the ferry to travel into Brittany or the rest of France. As a family we have stayed in... More

Hotel ideal for the walled town of St Malo as in the heart of town and opposite to Hotel de Ville & Museum surrounded by all the cafe's and short walk from ferries (But don't make the mistake we made walking from ferry and followed hotel signs which took us the long way around the top of town, they are... We stayed here with a large tour group. The rooms were nicely appointed and clean; the bathrooms were lovely. Only complaint would be the teensy tiny elevator which could only accommodate one person at a time with a suitcase... but once you get to your room, all is well. Excellent location here!! It can get a bit noisy at night... More

Have stayed here several times on short golfing breaks to Brittany. Less than 10 minutes from the ferry terminal its a great place to stay and explore the town and local countryside. It's located within the walls of St Malo, plenty of restaurants and bars right outside the hotel. The rooms vary and on my last visit I was given... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of a package with Brittany Ferries. The hotel was quite easy to find and is well positioned within the walls. It is well worth walking round the walls and access is easy from the hotel. Free parking on the road is available near the hotel although is very limited. There are some spaces... More

We did a three nighter with Brittany Ferries & with such it's worth what you pay! It's within the walls & therefore you are well located! Despite various comments parking is available & only some 5 mins from the hotel (free!) it's not a problem ! Certainly finding a parking if an eve is not a problem! The first room... More

We had a wonderful experience at hotel l'Univers. The personnel was friendly and incredibly accommodating - the room we had initially reserved had a shower and we made a last minute request for a room with a bathtub and they were to happy to accommodate. Our room was modern and clean - the bed comfortable. The bathroom was very large... More

This hotel is well worth staying in when you visit St Malo.Very good position, right by the city wall. Lovely old style bedrooms, small but clean and tidy.Bathroom is very dark with poor lighting so difficult to see to shave ect.Staff speak good English and are very helpful. The biggest problem for me was parking. The hotel has no parking and it is very...
