Super stay at this very nice Hotel very close to the restaurants and shops in San Malo. Staff were great, breakfast was fresh plentiful and tasty. Rooms were very comfortable, warm and well decorated. Prices were very good and great value for money.

The location of the hotel is perfect! The staff was extremely helpful and be rooms were quite large and comfy, the colors will remind of the saint malo theme. The space provided and amenities in the rooms will make u feel very comfortable. The tourism office and major attractions are all within walking distance, if not to say at the... More

This was a return trip to a hotel at which we hadn't stayed for quite a number of years. We were happily surprised at the improvements that have been made and expect that other parts of the hotel will continue in the same direction. The price, at 89 Euros for a modern twin bed room facing the sea, was very... More

Hotel very old but very pleasant. We paid extra for a sea view but wish we hadn't as the room was very small although very clean. We had the hotel arrange a garage for us which was worth every penny as the hotel is inside the walls and although parking was alongside the hotel it was not easy to find!

We stayed one night here en route for the ferry back to the UK, so we chose it for its location. Without doubt it's a brilliant location in the town but that isn't always the best choice. It is a beautiful old building with lots of character but our seaview bedroom was jaded; the decor and furniture really needs updating.... More

My Parents who are elderly went on a great 5 day trip with Barnes Coaches from the UK to France Brittany. The final destination was Hôtel France et Chateaubriand in St Malo (in the old city). On arrival the evening Meal and service was a disaster and the service was on the verge of Bulling. The group was not allowed... More

We have been staying here as our hotel of choice since 1998, as an en route hotel to Disney or Paris. This year we had a "staycation" horrid term, but good to describe a break near to home!! As usual we had room 354, a lovely large room with three windows, two of which look out onto the ramparts and... More

We stayed for a long weekend, having been to various hotels in St Malo over the years. This one is full of character and furnished tastefully with period pieces in the older half. There's a more modernised continental part but we weren't staying there. Our room was excellent, overlooking the square. Others have superb sea views. The restaurant serves good... More

Nice old fashioned hotel. The room was very simple with a bed, a table and a wardrobe. TV didn't work. Bathroom looked like it was taken from a modern design magazine! Completely different from the rest of our room design. We've stayed in room 210 which had a lovely view over the main square. At night it was really hot... More

My 16 year old son and I visited that wonderful old hotel in the heart of St Marlo, and we were so happy with our choice. We had a sea-view room -, which was amazing, comfortable and quiet. It was a fantastic base for sea side adventure, as well as lots of shopping and eating out. We would definitely revisit... More
