Stayed here with family en-route home after long weekend in southern Normandy. We found it a very friendly hotel with excellent service and helpful staff. Our room had good facilities and overlooked the sea with a small balcony. The hotel kindly arranged an adjoining room for the children (aged 5/3/3) so we had a single entrance to both rooms, which... We so wanted to like this place but unfortunately our expectations were not met. Nothing to write home about, as another review suggested, beautiful location if you don't want to stay intra muros and don't mind walking. Painfully slow wifi, very pretentious attitude from untrained and inexperienced staff, small rooms with little or no insulation and therefore very noisy. We... More

During an eight day tour, this was the best hotel in which we stayed. It fronts the harbor, and is about a 10 minute scenic walk to town. The rooms are very modern, and the staff was very friendly and outgoing. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Coming from a family that works in the hospitality business and knowing how hard it can be at times to please Customers to their full satisfaction, and by the same token how easily things can go wrong, I feel sorry to leave harsh comments. However, in this case I can honestly say that the main ingredient that is "hospitality" was... More

We were impressed at check-in with the friendlliness of reception and our good first impression continued when we opened the door to our room. The hotel public areas and room were both very clean and well maintained. The towels and linens were nice, and the double sink in the bathroom was great. The bathroom was modern and well done. The... just an average congress hotel. Within walking distance to the old city, but there are closure, better and cheaper hotels. Wifi was so bad it was only usable from the hallway or our bathroom. Take your pick. Good thing was if you had a car. Parking was easy and in the hotel garage, but not included or cheap.

My wife and I stayed here for one night in July en-route from the Normandy beaches to Guernsey. It was the best hotel we stayed in across our 12 day tour.Though not cheap it was very well appointed, lovely rooms, excellent food and wonderfully friendly staff( whose command of English was excellent.) and great views Our only regret was that... Spent two nights here in August and it was an excellent experience. The room was spotless and tastefully decorated. We had a balcony on the top floor with stunning views of the sea. We also dined here on our last night and we were not disappointed, the food was outstanding! I can highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is beyond competition in Saint Malo unless you have enough money to afford Deluxe seaview room in Grand Hotel Des Thermes Saint Malo. In other case Le Nouveau Monde is just perfect. The only thing they could have improved is compimentary water in rooms. The rest is just perfect.

OK, we might have had a little help from the amazingly good weather up north this summer. Nevertheless, enjoying the breathtaking view from the balcony/terrasse over the Saint-Malo bay was definitely a highlight of the holidays. Our room was quite big, modern and quiet with free wifi, flat screen tv, huge bed. The spa/pool area is small but very well... More
