The first thing to say is that the member of staff who greeted us was great, friendly, helpful and professional. That is really the only plus to this faded, over priced hotel. We paid more than we'd paid in our two weeks in Brittany and were in a small pokey triple room in the annex which had definitively seen better... More

Trcky to find, situated within the City Walls of this busy old quarter, this hotel is rather more faded than fine. One can see that this hotel was once worth a visit. The wecome was warm and helpful and our vehicle was expertly parked in a secure garage across thecroad. This facility was charged out at 20 Euros for one... More

Fantastic little place well located within the old walls of St Malo. Very close to all the restaurants and points of interest. Some reviews say it is noisy from the nightclub, we were in the Skippers building and it was very quiet. The room was very nice and has been recently redecorated it looks like. The reception staff were very... More

Decided on a last minute trip by ferry from Portsmouth and liked the look of this Hotel on the booking site. Stayed a couple of nights and found the place very welcoming and quaint. We were booked into the annex, but, as recommended on various sites, we asked to stay in the main building. Whilst we had to pay a... More

We stayed here for one night. Was close to everything, nice sized rooms, clean and friendly staff. Everything we could ask for for one night. Only issue was the parking as others have mentioned. We had to check in and drop off our bags before trying to find a spot outside the walls, which we found near the tourist office,... More

We arrived late Sunday afternoon in early August with our border terrier. The hotel receptionist greeted us with a friendly smile,(she may of been smiling at our dog!) and quickly ascertained that we knew very little French. She explained to us that we had been upgraded at no extra cost to our selves, and that we were now staying in the... More

GOOD STUFF: Loved the room and the parking - which is essential. Staff were great. The location is perfect for exploring the walled city, harbour, and marina. Not part of the hotel but they keep promotional literature for a free English walking tour which was priceless! BAD STUFF: A very noisy front street with rowdy disco and party goers pouring... More

2nd time we had stayed at this hotel in St Malo. We chose it again as they now have a secure garage nearby (extra charge). However, I was a little disappointed with our room on 5th floor. Rather basic for the cost, noisy when windows open (very stuffy) as near nightclub which chucked at 4.15am! The bathroom was clean &... More

We were six cyclists from Exeter/Bath and we stayed at the Hotel Elizabeth on our sixth night in Brittany after cycling 207 miles. The position right in the centre of the "Intra-Muros" is perfect and St Malo is a real gem of a place. We saw the best sunset I had seen since Bali in December 2012! The staff were... More

2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

This hotel was listed as 3 star It is simply a B &B. We were placed in an adjoining building, with a narrow stair case, , on 3rd flood. Just as well we just had overnight cases. Breakfast was fine. We stayed in other hotels, during this trip, all 3 star, but had lifts, better rooms, and bar facilities.
