I found this through Bookings.com. What a treat; 3 minute walk from the rail station, and just as close to 3 extra-muros restaurants (where locals eat). The front desk staff are exceptional, and my room was very quiet and comfortable. It is still a short walk to intra-muros, so you really do have the best of both worlds. More

We chose this hotel on Trip Advisor without appreciating that it is about 20 minutes walk from the old Walled City. Our disappointment quickly faded on realisation that it is very smart, and that if you are happy with a longer walk, then you can get to the City via the beach promenade. Anyone arriving by train might appreciate it's... More

If you are staying overnight with an onward journey the next day then this place is new, clean and friendly. It is across the road from the train station. St Malo Town is about 10 to 15 minutes walk away, enjoyed an evening meal within the old town walls and had a pleasant walk back. Staff were very friendly and... More

I was here by 21 days and I had an excellent time, front desk were very friendly and very helpful, besides some speak spanish and the rest give it a try. The place is very quiet and a few steps by the train station wich is very convenient, the building is kind of new so there's no complaints about it. More

This Hotel appears to have been built recently and so it is extremely smart and clean. The rooms have brand new fixtures and fittings and this, along with the high quality of cleaning service, gives the feeling that you are the first person to ever occupy your room (just how it should be!). The reception staff were outstanding and breakfast... More

Found the staff very helpful and friendly. Bedroom very clean and good decorative order. Found Breakfast very expensive for continental at 11 euro's each a day.The Bedroom although spacious was quite dark in the daytime and we had to put lights on all the time. This hotel did not serve any food except breakfast. The hotel was about 10 mins... More

We stayed here for one night because the Tour de France was routed nearby. Unfortunately, it was a bit hard to find because St. Malo's street signs are practically invisible and our car's GPS did not have this hotel in its database, probably because its very new. We arrived late at night and were able to park right out in... More

We stayed at the Balmoral for 3 nights after arriving from Paris by train. The hotel is across the central square and a 2 minute walk from the train station. We picked up our rental car the next morning from the europcar at the station. The price for the queen size room was great! This hotel isa clean, new, modern... More
