After our first experience of a Campanile in Dijon on our southbound trip, we looked forward to the stay in Rennes, we were left with mixed views and the responsibility is Campanile's. If you advertise your hotel at least tell us that there are quite major renovations ongoing, I found that very poor! The basics were good, a good helpful... More

I visited Rennes for the weekend and stayed for 3 days/2 nights. The good: The hotel is very close to the train station and downtown. Everything you'd expect from a hotel, bed, soap, wifi, etc. The bad: They are cheap. They forgot to charge me 20 cents for a photocopy and on my last day asked me to pay up.... More

Close to the train station and car rental agencies. Our room was on the small side, but was quite adequate for our overnight stay. Restaurants located within easy walking distance. Breakfast included meat and cheese as well as the usual rolls, croissants, cereals, etc. Upscale it is not, but for the money we found it to be an excellent value.

Staff all pleasant and helpful. Room basic and rather badly designed, little wardrobe space or bedside space. No shelves or drawers. Benefited from air conditioning, triple glazing and a good bathroom. Only French channels on tv. Location near the station had both homeless and street workers. Several restaurants close by. Good points: very handy for the station and within walking... More

I have been on the road in France for two weeks and this is the best for the price that I have run across. Sizable room, price, cleanliness, staff, near-by restaurants (e.g.,See review of Le Cafe Noir), and parking. Also a plus, interesting people and neighborhood.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights during a semi-business trip. The hotel rooms and toilets are clean with comfortable pillows and linen. Plenty of shops and eateries with budget to fine dining opportunities. Less than 1km walking distance to the historic centre and the famous crepe places in rue St. Georges. Wifi connection was pretty good all along... More

Location is great, directly across the street from train station. Walking distance to a nice mall as well as plenty of shops, eateries, market and bakeries nearby to fulfill basic needs. Front desk staff with some English ability was very pleasant and helpful with directions. Hotel lobby and breakfast room are small. We did not eat breakfast, so cannot comment.... More

I stayed here 4 nights of a 5-week trip. Most comfortable bed of the trip – excellent for a good nights rest. Nice linens, good pillows, thin towels. The carpeting in my room was almost threadbare and definitely needs replacing. Asked for a quiet room and got one on the back side of the hotel. The hotel was pretty empty... More

Clean basic hotel within a stone's throw of the station with mini market next door, excellent restaurant opposite and quick access to all buses. Comfortable beds with excellent linen and very pleasant reception staff, ever willing to help. We had trouble with the bathroom sink and the lady was there in a flash to fix it. The lift is an...
