I have been on the road in France for two weeks and this is the best for the price that I have run across. Sizable room, price, cleanliness, staff, near-by restaurants (e.g.,See review of Le Cafe Noir), and parking. Also a plus, interesting people and neighborhood.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights during a semi-business trip. The hotel rooms and toilets are clean with comfortable pillows and linen. Plenty of shops and eateries with budget to fine dining opportunities. Less than 1km walking distance to the historic centre and the famous crepe places in rue St. Georges. Wifi connection was pretty good all along... More

Location is great, directly across the street from train station. Walking distance to a nice mall as well as plenty of shops, eateries, market and bakeries nearby to fulfill basic needs. Front desk staff with some English ability was very pleasant and helpful with directions. Hotel lobby and breakfast room are small. We did not eat breakfast, so cannot comment.... More

I stayed here 4 nights of a 5-week trip. Most comfortable bed of the trip – excellent for a good nights rest. Nice linens, good pillows, thin towels. The carpeting in my room was almost threadbare and definitely needs replacing. Asked for a quiet room and got one on the back side of the hotel. The hotel was pretty empty... More

Clean basic hotel within a stone's throw of the station with mini market next door, excellent restaurant opposite and quick access to all buses. Comfortable beds with excellent linen and very pleasant reception staff, ever willing to help. We had trouble with the bathroom sink and the lady was there in a flash to fix it. The lift is an... The Campanile Rennes Centre is just a short walk from the Rennes train station, so it is ideal for travelers. I dropped the car I'd been driving for several days in Normandy at the Avis lot next to the train station. The bus station is next door to the train station. So I went by bus to Mont Ste Michel;... Nice little basic hotel, right near the station and short walk to the shops!! clean and comfortable with good shower, tea/coffee facilities. Ideal for an overnight stay. However, my husband booked online for myself and my daughter and paid in advance 38 Euros for the Hotel Campanile ATALANTE, which was about another 20 minutes walk away (something we wasn't prepared... My wife and I usually stay in 4-5 stars hotel, but due to a last minute change of plans, we had to visit Rennes and book something next to the train station. This hotel seemed to be ok for a 2 nights sleep only, but it was proved to be more than ok! It is a small hotel, very well... More

The hotel definitely has its pros: it's literally across from the station and only a few walking minutes from downtown Rennes. The bed was clean and comfortable. Nevertheless, the room was tiny, had a dusty smell and the AC did not help very much. The internet worked sometimes, sometimes it didn't. We paid EUR 84 for the double room, and... More

I had a single room which was quite inexpensive (40 Euros for the night). It was quite small but adequate. The front desk girls were charming. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. Not much of a view but really what can you expect for 40 Euros? The linen was fresh, the shower had power, I had my own thermostat.... More
