Our stay was wonderful, the staff extended every courtesy to us and made excellent recommendations on where to eat and visit. The garage was a wonderful amenity; street parking is hard to come by. We enjoyed our evenings in the lobby sitting area, the desk staff pulled double duty as bartender while we enjoyed the company of the other travelers. more

The Gradlon is well placed for Quimper centre and restaurants (including a very good one just across the road) and provided excellent, friendly service. We stayed at Hotel Gradlon last week. My husband went to enquire as to availability...He was informed that there were only two rooms left...a suite @ €155 and a double @ €112. The purpose of our visit to Quimper was to see the countryside of Brittany, and to visit the HB Henriot factory with surrounding stores selling Fiance. Stayed for three nights in September 2008. First rate hotel in just off centre location, but with very easy walk to main shops, restaurants and the Cathedral. Don't be put off by the exterior photos or nearby railway line on Google Maps - neither cause any intrusion into the quietness of the hotel. Excellent staff - totally fluent in English... more

Since there are no four star hotels in Quimper, Hotel Gradlon is you best bet. The immediate neighborhoud is rather shabby but it's very close to the old city of Quimper. Stayed for 3 lovely nights at the Hotel Gradlon. Our first 2 nights were in one of their suites in the main building, and our last night was in an addition beyond the courtyard. I have stayed here once before for a business trip to nearly Douarnenez. A very friendly welcome, great clean rooms (opted for a suite as the prices seem very reaonable), everything one could wish for. No hotel restaurant, but a map and pointer was provided by the front desk, and the beautiful town centre is only a few minutes walk... more
