The hotel was all that was promised and more. Helpful staff, cute room, parking reserved with our name. A nice touch. Thoroughly recommended. Please don't expect tea and coffee or large bathrooms in France. That is an American/Australian idea.

We stayed two nights at Hotel Arvor. The room was comfortable and well appointed. There was some early morning street noise – work trucks perhaps, but it added to the flavor of the town. Breakfasts were good. The secure car park was a tight fit but very convenient. The hotel is inside the walls of the old town. Dinan is... More

The staff was very friendly and helpful. All of the restaurants they recommended were excellent. The location is great for walking around Dinan and driving to other sights in Brittany and Normandy. There was some street noise in the morning, but then again, it's in the center of the city.

this lovely hotel has a perfect location in the centre of town, it even has parking! Friendly welcome by delightful lady at reception, nice room, spotless, great bed, and a lovely place to return too after an energetic walk around town. Can't fault it, and can't fault dinner at nearby restaurant called Fleur du Sel (hotel doesnt offer dinner) -... More

This hotel is for someone who wants to feel like they are in France. It is clean, comfortable and quaint. Priced very well and includes a sweet little breakfast. Dinan was a real find. Wish we would have been able to stay longer. Canterbury restaurant around the corner was one of our favorite places to eat so far while in... More

This is a relatively small hotel right in the heart of the old city. You can park you car in their carpark (which is a test of your driving skill), just leave it there and then walk to everywhere you could want to go. The rooms are nicely appointed with comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. The only downside to being... More

Stayed here two nights in September in a corner room on the first floor. The view was lovely, the room was large and very comfortable. Everything about this little hotel is posh and elegant (well, the hallways are a bit dim). You do hear some street noise with the windows open and need to close the drapes to keep out... More

We had one night here Fri 19 Sept 14, and was very pleased with room (good mattress is important to us) and accommodation generally. Our room looked into the street with a lovely view, alas the garbage truck (I think) woke me at 4am, but expect things like that in a city when we had left the windows open! Generally... More

Had three night stay at this hotel. It was excellent. Location was perfect. The staff, including Michelle and Claudine, we're welcoming, friendly and very helpful, especially recommending good local restaurants. Le Canterbry was exceptional. There is so much to see and do that we will be back. Lovely part of France, lovely hotel, lovely people and Brittany Ferries short break... More

Charming hotel. Staff helpful. Rooms small but stylish. Ground floor rooms are too noisy for a good nights sleep, upper floors are fractionally better. Couldn't open windows as rooms are literally on the pavement!! Very warm in rooms too. Requested a fan. Parking is tight and awkward for a larger vehicle.

Maxime J, Propriétaire at Hotel Arvor, responded to this review

Dear Elaine, Even if we do our best to guarantee the peace in our rooms, you can't find the tranquility of the countryside and be right in the heart of a town at the same time. What more, the street is not that noisy during the night. It is a little street used mostly by the people who lives in,... More
