If traveling by train to Brest, you cannot do better than Hôtel de la Gare when it comes to location and value. Clean, recently updated commons areas and rooms, this hotel is right across from a park with a great deal of street parking. The city center, castle and seaports are all a very short walk away as well. It... More

This hotel provides clean room with standard equipment. Nothing special to say about it, rooms are not luxurious but far enough for a good sleep. It is remarkably well located, between the main railway station and the downtown of Brest. From here, it is also easy to connect to the main highways. The main add-on of this hotel is the... More

We were in a third floor room, and the see view was beautiful with the sun. The heater has got a thermostat which is very handy too get your room at the temperature you like. The buffet breakfast offered a variety of organic food.

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly; free internet and printer available in the lobby. The rooms are basic but adequate. The rooms are not extremely well heated and they could be a bit cleaner but I didn't notice anything horrible. The location is truly fantastic: literally no more than a 3 minute walk from Brest main train station (the... More

Excellent location, just round the corner from rail and bus station, Splendid views from 5th floor balcony. Breakfast good but extremely limited. Superior room was overpriced, cramped and very basic - superior as in height rather than quality! An adequate stopping off point, but not somewhere to stay for longer.

Stayed for a night while touring Bretagne. Room is clean, big for 56 euros and the bathroom is very big for france standards. Staff is nice and helpful, free internet and close to the station. Only problem I found is that the room is very cold and the hotel has a policy of not switching on the heaters before 8pm.... More

Needed a room for the night, before a morning train. The hotel is literally one block above the gare and bus station. It was so quiet with the windows closed it was amazing. Very neat and clean, though spartan room, and a nice big bathroom for france. Tub shower, but the bathroom is tiled well, and big enough. Lots of... More

This hotel is very convenient, whithin walking distance from the Station and the heart of the city. Rooms are small but clean and confortable. In the overall, do not expect anything trendy of design, but this hotel remains a good option if you are on budget and look for a clean basic place.

Stayed in a room with a panoramic view of the bay but the downside is that those rooms look out onto a major roundabout and the traffic is relentless. The positive side is the free wifi in the bedrooms. Rooms are quite basic, location is good - very near the station and centre. I'd recommend Le Ruffe restaurant (very near... More

We spent six nights here for a rest from our yearly Grand Tour-We chose Brest for it's non-touristy aspect of Provincial France. We chose this hotel, for the sea view photos on the tripadvisor site, and we wanted a view of the gare and the bus station. We had it all! Also, spacious room, but we had wanted a tub-not... More
