I reserved the Abalys's 2-bedroom apartment for 3 nights, thinking we would be four, when in the end we were only two. It should be noted that it is located outside of the hotel, in a building two doors down, up a flight of stairs, which worried us at first. But once you open the door, any apprehension flees. The... Hotel Abalys is a very nice hotel close to the train station. This proximity doesn't make the area any dirty or noisy, but instead makes the place very close to the trains (obviously), buses, coaches, tram, shopping area, and some 15 minutes walk to the port and to the castle (Maritime museum). My room was quite quite spacious for 2... More

Room was beautiful and comfy with excellant wifi throughout the hotel. Didn't have breakfast as I was leaving early in the morning. Would highly reccomend this hotel.

We have just returned from a four night stay in Brest for a conference nearby for my husband's work. When I read the reviews on this website for hotel Abalys it sounded too good to be true and I booked a room immediately. My hopes for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway while my husband worked were realized, in large part... More

We stayed in Abalys with our two grown up daughters on July 2014. We have reserved two rooms, but on arriving the owners suggested that we take an apartment instead for the same price. The apartment was very spacious and pleasant. We were only sorry we stayed for only one night. The hotel lends bicycles for free. Very nice people,... More

The hotel is located very central: 10min. walk to the train-station, 5min. walk to the main bus and tram intersection and 15min. to the port. The reception was excellent. There were no questions left. A lot of information was provided. The room was a little bit small. The isolation against the outside noise was excellent. The breakfast was worth the... More

I hope not... Because this is what people want. It is small and simple but beautiful and welcoming. Very friendly and helpful staff, perfect location with walking distance to everything in the city. Stay here and explore Brest and Finistere for as long as you can,,, Enjoy!
