I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I used it as my first stop on the camino route. Access to the route was easy and probably saved me 2k of walking in the morning. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was super. All told a great and... More

The reception staff at this hotel really make the difference. They were genuinely friendly, helpful and I can't thank them enough for looking after us over the week that we stayed there, especially Clare and Corinne. Experiencing five star service like this in a two star hotel was a very pleasant surprise! The hotel itself is perfectly adequate and clean.... More

Not city centre or luxurious but pleasant, quieter and a lot less expensive. Modern hotel with comfortable beds and soft pillows (just ask if more required) making for a good nights sleep. The reception team were welcoming and provided excellent advice, maps and places to see, cannot be faulted. Having traveled a long way and after looking at the restaurants... More

This is a pleasant enough hotel but nothing special. Our room was small and fairly ordinary. The restaurant is OK but not very characterful, a bit business like. The position is very surburban. I wouldn't see the 'river' as much of a selling point. Functional and practical but mot much more.

WE found this on the Logis de France website. It is just outside Le Puy itself, and as a result is much quieter and really quite a good option if you are planning a visit to this wonderful area. The location is pleaantly suburban, near a small river, and about 2km from town. There is a large private car park.... More

This hotel is only a short drive to the car park outside the old town. It has a big car park and no charge. The rooms are like a UK Travel Lodge; clean, functional, not overly big, but perfectly adequate for a short stay. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed when we were there but breakfast was fine. The French are... More

Spent one night here en route home to England. When I booked I was offered a room "cote riviere", which led me to expect a view of a sizeable river, but in fact it is a little stream, not much more than the town drain! The view, therefore, is largely the shops and houses on the hillside opposite. However, the... More

The welcome was very good, very nice young woman who spoke English. The room was tiny and the bathroom miniscule. As we were only staying for one night we didn't make a fuss. The hotel shines in its restaurant. The food was excellent and the experience was made very enjoyable by the gentleman in charge of the restaurant who was... More

Convenient to find with ample parking. 5 mins drive to Le Puy centre. Room normal for rating, view over large stream.. Restaurant good value, regional cuisine. Very French, we liked it again (2nd visit)..

We wanted to overnight in Le Puy and all the hotels in the town were full. We hadn't reserved and were sent to Le Brivas by one of the other town centre hotels. It's about 2 or so miles out of Le Puy, in what was originally I suppose a separate village, but is now I guess a suburb. It's... More
