This hotel is really between poor and average rating. It is an easy walk up to the cathedral, and was recommended for that purpose. However, do not expect much because although the management is accommodating, you have a cheap hotel dressed in old garments of glory. It is poorly kept, not as clean as you would expect, and considering the... More

Getting away from hotel chains and indulging in atmospheric nostalgia in reasonable comfort is getting harder. The Regina allows that in a central location allowing one to abandon the car and walk (many hills though). Top feature was the evening meal in the restaurant where service has vestiges of the grand approach. The kidney speciality was very good. Worst feature... More

A rather mediocre old hotel downtown Le Puy. I tried it in anticipation of a long stay but immediately realized this was a wrong prick and changed hotel after one night only. Overall presentation and maintenance is low; same rating applies to comfort level (poor value for money) and staff courtesy. Private garage is disconnected from hotel entrance and small... More

The staff here knows what hospitality means. Great service, very friendly people. And the food is really delicious. We came to stay for 1 night, but stayed 1 more. We had 2 excellent dinners. We can recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Le Puy-en-Velay, without any doubt. Very good value-for-money.

We were traveling for first time with our 4 months daughter. We took the largest room (apartment) and expended 4 days in the hotel. The apartment is quite convenient if you need more space with an additional room and an extra shower. The only negative point in the room is the bed quality which can be improved.

Spent one night here recently; hotel from the outside looks nice - very old fashioned & traditional. The reception has an almost funky appearance - we liked it. The bedroom however was BIZARRE....2nd floor and having got out of the lift with our luggage found the corridor in complete darkness - when we finally found the light switch the corridor... More

Hotel Le Regina is conveniently located in Le Puy, across the street from the old city and a short walk from the train station. Rooms are adequate for a three star hotel, very clean, spacious and well tended. The restaurant serves a full menu of regional fare and a full bar satisfies all needs for tasty beverages. We were a... More

we came as a group of friends for a few nights over 2 stays of a few days each . Our experience was similar for each of the stays. the position of the hotel is very good and because of the double glazing on the windows our room was very quiet. on our first stay our room was on the... More

A nice family run hotel well situated in the center, with easy access to the old town, we had a nice room that overlooked a little road, was quite and although not very big it was well equipped. The restaurant is excellent with a very nice 31€ menu that is tasty and original, the hotel owner looked after us very... More

Hotel Regina is situated in a presumably central location in Le Puy en Velay. Around the hotel, the city looks rather grey and a tad run down. However, first looks can deceive. Even though the hotel's facade and sign look somewhat like a cheap Parisian brothel, and the reception desk further strengthens this impression, the room we had (regular room,... More
