Dyke Hotel is in a good spot: easy to find as you enter the city from the North East, yet 5 minutes walking distance to the old town. We arrived grubby and sweaty with a heavliy laden tandem and trailer and were offered space in the garage and a pleasant en suite room on the second floor. The couple in... More

Just an overnight stay and a pleasant experience after a long day of driving. It was a Sunday so many places were closed and the town quiet. We were able to park right by the hotel so getting bags up to the third floor was not too traumatic. The hotel is on a busy intersection and there was some noise... More

We stayed here for one night on our way south. Found this hotel by chance and after chaecking availability, they showed us the room before we decided to take it. Lovely front dest staff very friendly and helpful. We were able to park our car on the side street just close to the side door (make sure you wake up... More

We started our Robert Louis Stevenson Way from Puy-en-Velay, after a train journey from Lyon. Reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was up to standard, nothing special, but clean. Breakfast was simple, but complete. My only concern was with the noisy road junction just under our window. All in all a good place to stay.
