I was a little concerned by previous reviews that there was no parking. However, the hotel seems to have solved this. Either you can get a detailed map from them OR set satnav to rue Julian. Just before the end, turn right by the Picard sign and down into the multi storey. Bays 30-50 are closest to the Mercure and... More

The hotel is ideally located on the main square in Clermont Ferrand. It is close to all sorts of cafés, restaurants and shopping centres. The staff is very good and hotel brand new with very nice rooms.

Fabulous location, superb property (worth booking a 'privilege' room for the extra space, and extra free benefits. Wifi/internet speed superb. 2 TVs (not that we watched much), coffee machine, brilliant bed .... couldn't fault anything. Bar staff most obliging too. Young man at reception at check-out was charming.

The hotel is centrally located very close to the cathedral and all the restaurants and shops. The room was large and it was very clean and comfortable. I have to say that the breakfast was excellent with fresh, organic food. I don't have anything to complain about my stay there.

We stayed here for two nights on our way to Normandy. The hotel is centrally located across from the main square. The rooms were good sized, the bathrooms were very modern and had the room had free internet connection. The staff at the front desk was AWESOME! Very friendly, offered restaurant suggestions and being May Day, handed out lilies-of-the-valley flowers,... More

I recently stayed here on our honeymoon whilst travelling through France. Whilst away from major cities we tried to stay in cheap accommodation and were very satisfied with what we got at the mercure. On the night we stayed the bar in the mall below was playing music very loud and we put a complaint into the reception and the... More

Stayed here whilst on press trip to the Auvergne, perfect location in city centre with all you need on the doorstep. Surprisingly large room ,with complimentary water in the mini bar and a great shower after a long day. Friendly multilingual staff ,ideal base for a long weekend break or a midweek business stop.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting some friends. Location is perfect and could not be more central. The hotel is quite new and it looks great. Definitely worth paying for a Privilege room as our room (301) was fantastic, more like a junior suite with bay windows overlooking the Place Jaude. Staff was efficient and welcoming. One of... More

This was a good spot to stay for a rugby weekend. The hotel is on an attractive, busy square but so well sound-proofed we hardly heard other guests or outside noise. Almost brand new, everything worked and the room and bathroom felt pristine. The staff were friendly and helpful, we could walk everywhere we needed to go (although we did... More
