We stayed at le château for two nights. We stayed in "Bâtard d'Orleans" and "Agnès Sorel" (known as "la Dame de beauté"). Both rooms were richly decorated and very comfortable. The location was stunning despite the poor weather. What made the stay more memorable ("la cerise sur le gâteau" if I may say) were the people working there. No matter... More

.excellent location in a medieval castle perfectly restored, rooms, facilities and park are wonderfully thought for the perfect relaxing and exciting holiday; the restaurant is the best I have ever tried in my life, the staff perfectly trained and sincerely kind, friendly and at complete disposal any time.

My husband turn 40 this weekend and wanted to surprise him. We did not go to a romantic weekend as our kids were with us. Basically the location is great and you have the feel to be in a castle. The suite was really kitch but this match with the environment. We spent 2 nights in one of the best... More

We came for the Michelin starred restaurant and were impressed with the luxurious warmth of the chateau. We found a welcoming staff, a beautiful room, a lovely dinner and a perfect continental breakfast.

We had a great one night stay driving from The Channel to Provence. We arrived in the middle of their lunch service which threw the staff a bit but the welcome was warm. We spent the afternoon by the pool and enjoying the view. Dinner in September was served on the terrace and I recall as one of the nicest... More

After driving from Paris on back roads to see the country side (took too long), we arrive a big weary. Not used to driving on the wrong side of the road in a manual! However, we were met warmly by a lovely receptionist who quickly made sure we felt at home. After a quick unpack we we went for a... More

Our suite was very dark mainly due to being very poorly lit. The ultimate insult for a beautiful Chateau was plastic !! Sparkly gold toilet, Bidet, bath and wash basin so tacky !!!! It spoilt our stay. Both cups in the suite were used and not cleaned for us.

The chateau is set in a part of France tourists tend to neglect, in spite of the stunning beauty of the scenery. The hotel is in some ways an eccentric place, with fairy-tale looks out of doors, a somewhat dramatic décor inside, and no two rooms alike. I enjoy staying here whenever travelling through the region, sometimes more than once... More

All comments re odd decor are correct. All very ott and dark - not really an enjoyable room in the summer. Dinner I found excellent apart from one course which had been undercooked (not intentionally....). Service at dinner, waitress, waiters and sommelier all great. Breakfast waiter rude, unhelpful and dismissive......same guy served us drinks before dinner, appeared very superior and... More

This hotel meets every expectation if one is willing to pay for 5* service and a 1* michelin restaurant. A hotel with all the amenities fit for a "relais & chateaux". No negative comment possible. Indeed the sommelier deserves a special mention, not only for his wine suggestion - it's his job - but also because he is a truly... More
