Apart from the stunning location I was drawn to book Le Sapin Bleu due to the warm & friendly tone expressed from the first email contact, which continued to the end of our stay. Ann and Martin are wonderful hosts, clearly committed to the ethos of French B&B whereby guests are made to feel very much welcome and at home.... More

We were attending a wedding in a near by chateau, so decided to spend 3 nights in the area. Anne and Martin could not have been better hosts, nothing was a problem and they went out of thier way to assist us. The house is lovely, and due to it being so old the rooms are lovely and cool. Our... More

Martyn and Ann were incredibly hospitable and we enjoyed our short stay with them. The B&B was clean and well ordered and although we had no evening meals with our hosts, the breakfast was very good. The B&B is very remote and you need to be prepared for a drive to get to anywhere at all. The scenery is breathtaking... More

As soon as we turned up, Martyn & Anne made us very welcome and we were offered a drink and some snacks - most welcome after driving through the terrible weather (you can't have it all ways!). Booking was easy; all done via email with speedy responses from Martyn. One bank transfer later and we were booked in. As is... More

It was great to meet Paul his wife and friends. We really appreciate his kind words and remarks. On the question of sound proofing. The partion wall that Paul mentions is by no means paper thin (100mm) and we took great pains to include phonic insulation in the cavity during the conversion. However the building is over 200 years old... More

We really enjoyed our stay with Anne and Martyn at Le Sapin Bleu. They were excellent hosts throughout, and the quality of the accommodation was top notch. Our room was large, airy and extremely clean. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, which allowed us to make the most of the darkness and peace of the countryside and to sleep really well!... More

A very beautiful chambre d'hotes, hidden amidst the luxurious French country. Not-so-easy to find (as usual with many wonderful b&b in the french countryside), but really worthwhile. A finely restored old country villa, with a beatiful garden in which to have dinner in summer. Very large rooms, admirably refurbished but still retaining the charm of a centuries-old, stone-built country house.... More
