Just returned from a wonderful stay at this exceptional Spa Hotel. The spa area is truly magical and relaxing. We had a great room with a sea view even though the weather was howling, we could see the sea from our bed and the bathroom. The breakfast was very expensive but all tastes were well catered for. The evening meal... More

We stayed here originally 10 years ago and again about 5 years ago. This visit was a 30th wedding anniversary stay for 5 nights. There are many, many good things about this hotel. Top of the list is its location, literally on the seafront with direct access to the beach, it's magical. Then the staff who are friendly, efficient and... More

We stayed here in August 13 with our 3 kids aged 11, 9 and 6. It was a special treat at the end of our holiday and it is quite expensive. The rooms were good. The location is fantastic facing onto the beach at St Jean de Luz. Lovely spa and spa swimming pool and you can access the beach... More

I visited this hotel from Paris, where I've been living for the past two years. Prices in Paris and expectedly high but I was shocked to see that this hotel had the nerve to charge even more than the best places in the City of Light. A simple coffee in the restaurant is 7 Euro (Cafe de Flore: 4); citron... More

We arrived in pouring rain, a little early, hoping to drop our car and our luggage off and then explore the area in the howling wind and rain. We were greeted like Royalty, told our room would be ready in half an hour and please would we like to take tea or coffee in the lounge until the room was... More

3 lovely days in this hotel ended my bitter feelings of our hotel in Paris. (seperate review to follow)It is a model of perfection ..From the very beginning to the very end. I could almost not find anything wrong. ! The staff and especially the concierges are so very helpful and pleasant. The food was excellent in the restaurant, the drinks... More

The Grand Hotel is a charming, old world hotel with all of the modern conveniences. Situated right on the beach front, it is centrally located, and within walking distance of the city center, and the beautiful botanical gardens. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The view was quite beautiful. The staff could not have been more helpful with their... More

Visited for a drink while in this seaside city.Liked the British club feeling of the bar, ocean views and generally relaxing polished vibe of the hotel. Stayed elsewhere, but I would come back here if $$$ permitted. A sidenote:It is on or close to the pilgrimage path for S tJeae Compostellonments potell, something on my "Bucket List," and a large... The hotel has a magnificant setting right in the beach with uninterrupted sea views. It would have been a spectacular hotel in its day, but is a little faded round the edges and could be described as shabby chic. However the staff are very helpful, the rooms clean and the food excellent if a bit pricey. The only gripe I... More

For the 18th birthday of our second daughter it had to be a special location in a special hotel. So we went for St Jean de Luz and Hotel Loreamar as a highlight in our three weeks France vacation. The hotel is beautiful, if a bit posh, breakfast and dinner were excellent (and dinner was not even overly expensive), the... More
