The Bel-Air is perfectly located right at the beach in this quaint little seaside village in the Basque area at the French-Spanish border. From our room on the third floor we had a splendid view of the sea. The room had a warm feel to it and was well-appointed, with two firm twin beds, a desk, two chairs, an armoire... More

I didn't stay here, but came off the street needing help and Christophe on reception couldn't have been more considerate. On the basis of this experience I would definitely consider this hotel if planning a further visit to Saint-Jean-de-Luz.

Bel Air Hotel is a real pearl with its location and its fantastic staff! It has a nice, classic feel, very helpful staff, family owned and charming athmosphere. We enjoyed the breakfast after an early swimming and walk among the fantastic beach and the fresh ocean air. It was difficult to leave!

Lovely comfortable room with modern bathroom and great sea view. Friendly family running the place - only wish I wanted to speak to them more, you get out of practice in big hotels. Breakfast good, they're proud of their produce.

A great place to unwind after an enjoyable 5 weeks in France. St Jean de Luz is laid back but with a charm all of its own. The seafront is the ideal base for walks along the shore, along the old town streets with interesting little shops and for a bus and petit train to San Sebastian and Getaria for... More

This attractive old hotel is right by the beautiful beach at the north end of St.Jean de Luz and we loved hearing the sounds of the sea during our very pleasant stay. It was also very convenient for shops, bars and restaurants...just around the corner. The staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. They also spoke good English. The view from our third floor... More

Dear guest, Thank you for your comments regarding your recent trip to Saint Jean de Luz. Regarding the breakfast cost, it does reflect the quality of the products served. You can choose between a continental breakfast in your room, or a buffet available in the breakfast room with sea view, for the cost of 11 euros. The buffet is mainly... More

We stayed here for two nights recently. The Hotel was clean and comfortable and very well situated - near the beach and the centre of the town. We understand it is family owned and run. The owners are efficient but also helpful and welcoming. Their knowledge of English is good. Parking may be a problem - they have a few... More

Wonderful, quaint hotel on the bay -- absolutely beautiful. The staff was more than accommodating to our large group. Anything you needed, the staff was more than willing to help! Would definitely return without a doubt! Delicious breakfast -- we slept thru it one morning and called down to the front desk and they brought us the cutest tray with... More

We were only going to stay one night but ended up staying for 3 night. It was a lovely old style hotel. The 2 sons who run the place were very helpful and professional. The only thing that was a bit off putting is the mother treats it like her own home and you do sometimes feel you are in... More
