Typically when travelling around France, I opt to stay in Campanile hotels as you always know what you are going to get - good value, comfortable rooms, tea & coffee making facilities, excellent shower and a pleasing breakfast buffet. The Campanile in Pau did not disappoint, it was easy to find, had good parking and the food in the restaurant... More

Refurbished old motel. Small room but comfortable. No lift so had to carry our bags up the stairs to the first floor. Good value. Decent breakfast. Big secure and free carpark. Staff were very good. Not sure of location to town but easy to access by car.

A place just to get some shut eye whilst watching the World Pony Driving Championships. Clean fair size room. Felt safe had metal shutters on the windows . Good parking. Coffee making facilities. We sadly went to a nearby steak house for dinner which was dreadful . Wish we had eaten at their own restaurant . And we also didn't... More

As almost all French hotel rooms the rooms are very small, not much floor space, but like most hotels, they have found out that most travelers use wifi and it was fine. Restaurant and breakfast was average

Stayed here as could not get into town due to the motor racing. Motel like rooms with good wifi. A superb find, eat here in the evening as the menu gourmand is very reasonable the chef very amenable and the buffet simply excellent.

This hotel is really cheap so I really shouldn't complain but... I hated it. The room was tiny, floors uncovered and cold, with the very minimum amenities. The worst part was the bathroom. It just didn't feel clean. But really if you just need a bed and don't care about comfort then I guess it will do.

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments following your stay with us. I am really sorry to hear that you “hate” our establishment, Campanile belongs to a group with its own concept who made his reputation: uncovered floors, rooms of 17m2 separate to reception building, similar equipment… Referring to the bathroom, measures has been taken... We visited in mid August having landed at Toulouse and on route to the western Pyrenees. We wanted an overnight stay in Pau to gain a flavour of the old town, without having to get tangled in Monday morning traffic on our departure the next day. This hotel worked perfectly. It was easy to find and a short easy drive... More

We stayed at this hotel as we were travelling with a group and the choices we had were extremely limited. We normally stay in 4 tour hotels and this was definitely below our usual standard. GOOD THINGS: - easy to find - clean - quick checkout - outdoor parking close to room NOT SO GOOD THINGS: - wireless internet unreliable... More
