We based ourselves in this lovingly restored monastery for our three day stay in the Dordogne and we're so glad we did! It was the perfect location to explore the region during the day and to relax and have a swim in their sparkling pool before getting ready for dinner. Suzanne and Mike are delightful and made us feel very... More

Dear Orla and Chris Thank you very much for the extensive and positive review you posted. There cannot be any doubt about the fact that reviews by a "seasoned" reviewer carry more weight with the potential clients. So, thank you once again, it was a pleasure having you. Kind regards, Mike More

Mike and Susannah are the perfect hosts in this delightful B&B. Clean, good breakfast and nice gardens made for an enjoyable break. Close to the village with several good eating places (we tried most of them). A good location to see the area and enjoy the good life We highly recommend this as a comfortable, attractive and in a great... More

Mom (76) and I stayed there during our annual holiday two weeks ago. The homepage description matches what one will find, it does though not explain how lovely and welcoming the place is, how wonderful and friendly the owners are, and what a lovely atmosphere there is all around the place. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable, the place... More

Dear Tuffedpuffin (Sure there must be an interesting story behind that !) Thank you very much for your extensive review. We really enjoyed having you and Mutti (suppose that should be the Swiss Italian equivalent really!) as our guest. Having people like you two, who obviously enjoy the surroundings, and the lovely things the Dordogne has to offer, makes it... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Ferme de Tayac. This is a beautiful old building with lovely landscaping. Lots of flowers. Mike and Suzanne have decorated it nicely, with some whimsical touches. Good location for visiting the caves at Grotte de Font de Gaume. More relaxed and less crowded than some of the other places in Dordogne. We enjoyed our... More

Just returned from our two weeks in France. We stayed with Mike and Suzanne for the first week at Ferme and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Mike has done an amazing job renovating the structure and grounds and both he and Suzanne were wonderful hosts. Rooms were very nice (if you are there during hot weather be sure to ask for the... Our three-night stay at this converted farmhouse in the French countryside was the highlight of our summer. Not only is it fantastic value - we had a romantic, spacious room, use of a magical garden to sunbathe in, a pool and nice breakfast - but it's also a very sociable place to stay. The owners Mike and Suzanne were really... More

My wife and I spent 5 nights in Early September 2013 at Ferme de Tayac and we were delighted. The entire B&B is composed of 900 year-old historic rock buildings that are decorated in an eclectic manner by the owners. Despite the age, the property is well kept and has all the modern amenities. In fact, the rooms and grounds... More

A great B&B with a lovely garden and pool area. The rooms are clean and comfortable. A refrigerator is available for guest use and the town has a laundry. The guests eat breakfast together and share stories of their travels. For dinner, downtown is walkable (about 15 minutes) and has parking for those who drive. To find the place, ask... More

Dear PhotoGirl44 Thank you very much for this very nice review. For those who were not aware of it, I'd like to point out that we "suffered ?" a prolonged heatwave across this part of France during your stay, and to alleviate the discomfort to some extent, we made electric fans available for the bedrooms. The rest of the house... More
