We stayed in this hotel in Feb 2009 as a stopover before flying out from Bergerac Airport. Obviously it was a very quiet time for the hotel, in fact we were the only guests staying there at that time! In summary these are our thoughts: Good Points: - Very professional, friendly and attentive staff. - Lovely location, set in nice... more

We stayed with our four children for one night in July 2008. Our two rooms were situated in the orangary off the main building. The rooms themselves were oK. Ours was very large but smelt damp and the bathroom was in clear need of an upgrade. The childrens room, although being spacious was not of the standard one would expect... more

We spent a night at this hotel on our way to the south of France, and had a great experience. The hotel is located in a large and romantic park with a great lawn, many flower banks and large trees, next to a river. The building is a large, old style French manor with a grand entrance hall. The owners... more

Being mid-way between Sarlat and Bergerac this is ideally situated for exploring the region. The small chateau gives the impression of almost being an English coiuntry house with a pretty flower filled garden. Although it is right beside the Dordogne river you cannot really see it from ground level which is a pity. The "Privelige" room we had was on... more

We stayed here 3 nights in late June 08 - as other reviews have said it is a lovely old manor on the banks of the river. New owners took over in Nov 07 but I'm not sure if this has mad any difference - other than its fine dining restaurant no longer had a Michelin Star. The restaurant however... more

We stayed at the Le Manoir De Bellerive for a week in June 2007 and found the entire experience delightful - the location is excellent for touring the region. Our room in the annex was superb - excllent shower and very relaxing. we used the pool once and found it extremely clean and inviting - The food and service was... more

Stayed here for 2 nights in early July. Booked it via their own website. We flew to Bergerac airport, hired a car and drove the 20 odd miles to Le Manoir. First impressions are very favourable, beautiful old manor house with a nearby annexe (also with rooms), right on the Dordogne river. We were met at reception by the owner... more

As I was undergoing a 3 week motorbike trip with my wife around France and we had to cross the Perigord region, we decided to spend 1 night at Le Manoir de Bellerive at end of August 2006. We booked the hotel directly. The receptionist upon booking was quite nice but when ask my CC number she requested our security... more

We were only here 1 night, passing through the Dordogne. We should have stayed longer! Wonderful hotel with super service and good rooms, even at the entry price level. The main chef was unwell when we were there but the 2nd chef prepared a limited menu which although not billed as 'gastronomique' was excellent. Even the rather expensive G&T's did... more

My family of four just returned from an 8 day stay at the Manoir de Bellerive in the Dordogne. We all adored this place. LOCATION...it is within 25 minutes in every direction of all things worth seeing in the Dordogne--Sarlat, Belves, Cadouin, Beynac, Les Eyzies, etc. It is a perfect "launch point" without having to move every night. ROOMS...we had... more
