When you enter château Lespinassat, there is definitely a "wow" feeling that hits you straight away. The château is just stunning and is the perfect place to stay at and relax, with beautiful spacious rooms full of character, lovely gardens, a great pool area and a very welcoming host. This is definitely special and feels very luxurious: grand settings, large... more

The Chateau of Marion and Christian is one of the best places -if not the best- we've ever stayed at during our 18 years of travelling around Europe. Beautiful gardens, building with history of more than 300 years, full of antiquities. And most importantly, Marion and Christian, the perfect hosts. Even their cat and their friends, make you feel at... more

The stay at Lespinassat was a real treat and very idyllic, located very close to Monbazilliac and also only 4-5 km outside Bergerac. The drive to see the bastille towns as 1/2 hr to an hour away. I recommend a GPS as it was a big help to me navigating around the area. The hotel was exactly what I wanted,... more

Want the quintessential French Chateau? Want a wonderfully warm hostess? Want to relax in shabby chic grandeur? Chateau Lespinassat is perfect. We were doing a Jekyll and Hyde holiday - camping a few nights then staying somewhere swanky the next - and the welcome on arrival was perfect. Hot and tired, we were immediately relaxed after ordering a glass of... more

We stayed just one night but were made most welcome with real tea on arrival! The accommodation was spacious and the bathroom stunning - huge wet room style shower plus separate bath, 2 wash basins, robes, slippers and toiletries. The bed was very low and much more comfortable than it looked. Breakfast was delightful - choice of bread pastries, yoghurt,... more

We stayed here for only 1 night but thought it was great. It's as if some friends have invited you to their chateau. It's well worth a vist, & has a great atmosphere of faded grandeur. I agree with the reviewer from Australia who couldn't understand why more people haven't reviewed this place. We stayed in one of the garden... more

Can't believe there are no reviews of this charming place. It really is like staying with stylish and most hospitable friends. Our room was enormous, upstairs - vast room elegant and classy decor, yet unpretenious. We were able to dine in the dining room - wonderful meal. Pre-dinner aperatifs in the billiard room (complete with the family cat). The next day... more
