A very chic and modern hotel that was perfect for our honeymoon. The hotel made every effort to accommodate us and really pulled out the stops for us. If you are prepared to travel a little bit away from the historic centre of Bordeaux and use the excellent tram service, then I would highly recommend the Seekoo. The Seekoo is part of the redevelopment of Bordeaux's riverside district: when you arrive there you see a few dodgy places which from the outside look (and probably are) like gentlement clubs but are balanced by the presence of designer shops and restaurants so this is not a seedy area. From the outside, it's beautiful..and from the inside, it's fun. My room was lovely, just so textured and fun--from the mirrored ceiling (which isn't sleazy) to the black and white bathroom with hanging frond curtains, the room number on the walls like a decorative headboard, the view ..everything. We stayed seven nights in this hotel last week during the Bordeaux Wine Festival and have to really applaud their efforts to create an unusual, stylistic and ultimately very comfortable hotel.
