I booked this simply because it was one of the cheapest hotels I could find in Bordeaux. It also appealed when I booked because it seemed equidistant between the town centre and the train station, and I was planning to take the train twice so I thought that'd be useful. We were unfortunately travelling to Bordeaux on fairly short notice to visit friends. The wine expo (vinexpo) was on which means (as we found out) that pretty much every room in Bordeaux hotels is booked out months in advance.
