This hotel has a fine location and the reception staff are thoroughly professional. However, when I went to the concierge desk to ask for a leaflet, I was asked by a very snooty female concierge if I were a guest of the hotel! How insulting. They do this apparently because passers-by often come in for trip details. Well then, advise... More

I am staying here as I write this . I arrived here having paid what I thought was a fortune for a delux room foe a special weekend . What a let down. The room was so small it was a joke . I rang the front desk and said I would not stay unless I was moved to a... More

Plus points of this hotel are its perfect, central location, overlooking the opera house, the friendly and attentive staff, the rooms are serviced twice a day with a generous supply of fresh towels and the freebie toiletries are a high quality brand (Molton Brown). On the negative side, however, the rooms are quite small with heavy and dark drapes everywhere.... More

We booked a "superior" room here and to say it was compact was an under statement. No room to swing a cat. The furnishings were fine. Heavy drapes on the windows kept out most of the natural light so making the room look even smaller. The marble bathroom was fine but again tiny. We did not eat in the restaurant... More

Front of house staff, and the breakfast were very good - as should be expected. However - we went to the Spa area and were told quite firmly by the Spa staff that we were not allowed in as the Spa was only for clients who had purchased treatments and that we could only use the area after 7:00PM when... The hotel was sadly disappointing. We had booked a superior double room, but after taking the elevator to the second floor, then walking to appeared to be the back of the hotel and taking another elevator we ended up with a room which is smaller than my closet. The bathroom had a shower above the bath, which makes taking a... More

My husband and I splurged on a 3-day visit to Bordeaux, which we found to be one of the most elegant and livable cities in France. The Grand Hotel, located at the very center of things in the old city, contributed greatly to our impression. Its handsome facade provides a worthy counterpoint to the portico of the glorious 18th c.... More

Accommodations in Europe don't get any better than at this hotel! My expectations were far surpassed by the grandeur and splendor of this throw back to the 18th Century. The decor of my deluxe king room was outstanding, and the view from the three french doors overlooking a courtyard cathedral, provided the true vibe of this majestic historical city! The... More

My wife and I stayed here last night, on a warm sunny day in Bordeaux. We had Dinner, which was excellent, in the Bistro overlooking the Theatre. Our room was quiet and comfortable, and we had a late check out, gratuit. I thought the whole experience superb
