We stayed at the Grand for five days in March 2014. The rooms were well appointed and were very comfortable by American standards. There were extra touches, like a heated bathroom floor, which just made the stay more comfortable and enjoyable. We had breakfast each day at the hotel. The concierge was exceptional. Nothing but good things to say about... More

The 5 star property is the epicenter of Bordeaux , on a lovely pedestrian only plaza, facing 18th century buildings with great musicians playing in the evening while you dine al fresco in the hotel's brasserie.. Wine country is a few(!0-20) kilometres in any direction you choose. Every amenity is provided for you by the ultra competent staff and concierge team.... More

We had one night there in my birthday celebration last year. The staff tried to do everything the best for us from the check-in till check-out, we got late check-out for free as a present for me. Location is the best -on the big place across the Theatre. They have a good bar in the hotel as well! There are... More

I recently stayed here with colleagues for work for 5 days. The staff were absolutely brilliant from reception staff to the cleaning staff. Nothing was to much trouble and they really go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. I especially thought the service at breakfast was outstanding as the waitresses remembered each morning that I liked my coffee... More

If you want a truly French experience, stay here and delve into old world service and charm in a new world state of luxury. We took photos of our lovely accommodations, and they look exactly like the ones posted by the hotel; everything is sumptuous and beautiful. The fabrics adorning the walls, the bed linens, the robes, the shower curtain... More

Spent a few days here. Loved the gorgeous, ornate French style, but the rooms are a bit dark. Staff very nice and accommodating. Great location that cannot be beat! Right in the middle of Bordeaux, across the street from the Opera House.

Sometimes people use the word "grand," and it seems so trite. But this hotel is very grand, indeed. The fabrics and decor are marvelously rich. The staff tries to address you by name when you come and go. It is walking distance to many things, including the Opera, the tourist office, shopping and the wine center. The rooms are very... More

We are staying in room 449 and loving this hotel. Although the room is small and a bit dark, it is very elegant and has everything you need. The staff at this hotel are exceptional, very friendly and most helpful. Great location with tourist office one block away and tons of restaurants all very close by. The only issue we... More

I think this is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in, it was so gorgeous inside (and out) and although our room was a little small, they organised an amazing dinner for us and a taxi to get us there. The food at the hotel itself was pricey but lovely and the spa (you have to pay extra) was... More

This is a very beautiful hotel. We wanted somewhere special to spend Valentines Day and my birthday this coming Sunday. Arrived yesterday, perfect welcome, beautiful room, delicious cocktails in The Victor bar, fantastic meal in restaurant nearby - woken at 0930 by drilling and hammering. No warning of work when we checked in. I enquirer if we could be moved... More
