Checked in at 11.30 as room was ready. Clean and as described. Parking was easy in "Place Gambetta" which was just above 20.00€ for 24 hrs. Even though room was basic and compact, this hotel, because of location is perfect for 1 or 2 nights. Staff knowledgeable about area and always at front desk to help. For the money, great... More

Room was OK. Small, but clean and well-heated for the time of year (November). Very good central position. TV in the room seemed to have only two channels and hard to negotiate. Wi-Fi a nightmare - I went round in circles with user names, passwords, all that nonsense. Took my laptop down to reception three times to try to sort... More

Dear Sir, dear Madam, We thank you for taking the time to give your opinion. The last week, we had a problem with the wifi and are very sorry about that. We did the necesary to repair it. We are surprised to read that you have just 2 channels on the TV : all the rooms have the same equipment... More

The room was very small, which we expected considering that it was a 2-star. However, small doesn't mean almost no storage space. Virtually every inch of floor space was occupied by our small suitcases. The plastic shower holder was broken, so it was necessary to hold the shower hose at all times, an inconvenience. Breakfast was uninteresting and had little... More

Good economical hotel with the city "tourist" area all within walking distance for most people (I'm 79). Irritating that the elevator doesn't go down to the ground floor so that all rooms require using one flight of stairs. Breakfast cost 7 euro but nice that it included fresh fruit.

We stayed at the Hotel Gambetta for 3 nights during a recent trip to France and would highly recommend this as a good hotel to stay in whilst in Bordeaux. THE ROOM *Our room was one of the back ones, facing into the back of other buildings, so our outlook was terrible, but apart from that, everything else was great.... More

This very basic hotel was ideally located and sufficient for our short stay in Bordeaux during which we spent very little time in our rooms. The rooms were small but clean and the beds comfortable. The ceiling fan was necessary because although we had a street front room with a window that opened, there was a lot of noise from... More

My mum and I stayed at the hotel for two nights. We had a twin room which had plenty of space including a spacious bathroom. For the price and location it was a great choice. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel is situated in a great location, roughly 5mins walk from the river, and... More

We booked this hotel expecting a clean, fresh, modern, comfortable and modest hotel in the centre of Bordeaux (refer to website). Upon entering our room, we were horrified to find the bin was still full of rubbish, banana scraps and litter, the carpet was stained heavily, the curtain rail broken so light came in, paint work scratched and scuffed and... Nice hotel at a great location. Small rooms, but clean. Good beds and there was a fan in the room. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, because there are good cafés nearby for coffee and a croissant.

2 Star hotel. It is basic but very clean and well maintained. Location is central and gives great access to all of the main attractions in Bordeaux. Rooms are simple and tidy with ceiling fans to keep you cool in the summer. WiFi is free albeit a little patchy. A good choice for a short stay.
