This is a no frills hotel, but it's in a great location in the centre of town and is good value for money. The room was clean and modern, with a small bathroom, and no air conditioning. There was free WiFi in the room. Nothing fancy, but it was a good place to stay for a couple of nights. more

stayed for two nights, close enough to walk to the old town, and far enough to escape the noise. for what you pay, you cant expect much more than what is offered. thumbs up. more

I stayed one night at Hotel Gambetta in Bordeux last month. The hotel is very centrally located (although Bordeaux is not exactly huge). The futuristic tramway stop was located just down the street from the hotel. The hotel could be tricky to find as it didn't really have a storefront, just a signage indicating the entrance. The staff is very... more

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of May and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check in was the most efficient I have ever experienced and we were fortunate to have our room ready despite arriving at 11am. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We got an excellent rate and considering that I was paying about the same... more

The rooms are small and compact, especially the bathroom! However, it is well designed and the location is excellent, right in the heart of the old part of town and easy walking distance to all the main sights. It is clean and comfortable but the view from our window was bleak - a facing wall and fag butts but as... more

Great clean hotel, great location and friendly staff... We were worried about the noise after reading the reviews on this site, but did not hear anything... Just be sure to ask for a room to the courtyard and you will sleep like a baby!!! more

The price is reasonable, the staff friendly, and the location is convenient. The rooms are fine, and there is free internet. The breakfast can be had for an additional six euros and is basically just coffee, juice, bread, and condiments. I have no reservations reccomending this hotel and would stay here again. more

As the title suggests, this hotel couldn't be in a better location. It's right near Place de Gambetta, which is a pretty major central point, as well as the main shopping district. The only downside of this is that it can be noisy at times. The hotel is very small, but i wouldn't consider this a disadvantage. It does the... more

This is a really great choice for Bordeaux - right in the middle of everything! We loved Hotel Gambetta; central location, renovated rooms, good looking bathroom. Easy access from the train station, and lots of nice restaurants and patisseries nearby. On the lesser side, the rooms are fairly small, so if you need lots of space it might not suit... more
