Having spent the year working in the stuffy, urban environment that is central London, I was desperate to escape for a week and go somewhere where I could be amongst nature, near the sea and would be a place where I could fill my days being active and healthy in hot sunshine. I found Feral Surf online and was instantly... More

I've not reviewed on trip advisor before, however having worked in the service industry for many years. I was always a bit sceptical as i have seen trip advisor used at its worse. Often used to slag off hard working businesses and its employees. Granted i'm sure there are some businesses that have deserved a bad review and occasionally the... More

I was a bit nervous about booking up this holiday as i was traveling on my own and had never surfed before. My nerves were easy'd the minute i got off the plane and was met by one of the feral crew and some other guests that were on my flight. We all got on the bus and had a... More

These guys are incredible.. This is how a surf camp should be run.. The moment you walk out of the airport, a lovely girl called Tash will pick you up and whisk you to your final destination, which is a tipi village on the beach. On arrival at the camp i was greeted by pretty much the entire feral team... More

I have been on many surfing trips and have had some great times with friends in hostels and camping but this one honestly tops them all for me. The food: Breakfast - fruit, cereal, fresh bread and prepacked pastries (which let it down a bit). Lunch - Very health and plenty of choice. Tea - The best meal of the... More

Quite a claim to make but despite being a seasoned traveller, I have never yet experienced anything close to my first week at Feral. I was cycling from Santander to Roscoff and planned to use Feral as a respite from all-day everyday solo cycling. From the moment I arrived I felt at home, so much so that I stayed on... More

I have mixed feelings about this holiday, I wanted to have a good time ,so I did, but that had little to do with Ferral as a company and more to do with me making an effort to have fun with like minded guests. Credit where credit is due, the surf instructors and staff at the camp were GREAT. The... More

I have just come back from a second week with feral surf tours and wanted to sing their praises and let people know what to expect. I have been out there twice, both in September ('13 and '14), both times a solo, mid 20s, horribly unfit and pale nerd with dreams of being a surfer. The campsite is about an... More

...but some things about this week mean I could never give it more than 2 stars. First, the good things: -Really good surf instruction (thanks Smudge and Nell!) which helped me to progress even though the waves were a bit challenging for beginner-intermediates at times. A very good safety focus at this camp compared to some others. -Really good food,... More

A quick Google search for 'Surf holidays in France for solo travellers' brought me to the Feral Camp. I was picked up from the airport by a smiling, barefooted Tash and was driven to the camp. The camp isn't my interpretation of 'glamping' but... If you're willing to leave your flipflops by the door of your tipi (except to use... More
