This hotel is recommended maybe not for its elegant rooms, despite the little but fashioned hall infact at the last floor rooms are not yet restored (so you have to deal with an old and dirty moquette) while at the first we saw that they had a new appearance, but it is hardly recommended for its great position! It is... more

Was staying in this hotel for two nights with some people from my architecture group. The room in which I stayed was ok, however the sound insulation was roughly not existant, and my friends had much worse rooms than mine, which were below normal standards. The service at the desk was very poor, charged me 4 euros for a rapid... more

Wasn't bad for 50 a night. However, there were a few problems... Elevator fits two people uncomfortably. Broke down when we were 4 flights up from the bottom. Beds are extremely uncomfortable and have bed bugs. I three massive bites on my leg and underarm. Still irritated days later. Hotel desk clerks told me the wrong price for an airport... more

Last minute booking and needed somewhere central so booked this hotel despite the reviews. Stayed for four days and would go back again. First impression at reception is of a small french hotel. Enter the tiny lift and immediately all the reviews ring true. It looks like it was decorated in the late 60s and never touched since then. Emerge... more

Location is great, but dont go there expecting too much. We have stayed in many 2 star hotels in europe, but this was amongst the worst of them for the price we paid. Staff refused us extra pillows etc: and the furniture and bathroom was falling apart. Very noisy also. more

The exterior of the building was at one time elegant and quite majestic. The hotel is extremely well-situated, close to tram stops, a huge variety of stores and restaurants and in a generally very pedestrian-friendly area of the beautiful old part of Bordeaux. The hotel staff were basically rude and the kind of employee one might find in an all... more

This hotel was in a convenient location near several brasseries open until 1am, and round the corner from a small shopping centre with a supermarket inside. Ten minute walk from the nearest tram stop (either Quinconces or Place des Bourses), and about 15 minutes' walk from the main restaurant area of town. As regards the hotel itself, the staff were... more

The "downs" - rather bare room (no drawers), very feeble shower trickle, noisy unless the double glazed windows were closed making it rather hot. The "ups" - friendy staff, room light and spacious enough, central position right in the old town extremely good value for money (in 2004, 42 Euros for a twin room) more
