The Aquitain Hotel is par excellence in all respects. It is literary a 400m walk from Gare St Jean which is ideal for travellers using the TGV to get around France. Although some of the staff speak no English, they are patient and willing to engage in alternative forms of dialogue to communicate with you. They do this without belligerence... more

Having spent the two previous nights in a very noisy Hotel, the Hotel Aquitain was a wonderful change. Despite being very close to the station it is in a quiet location and from my room I could not hear any traffic. I could find no fault with the room at all and it was very good value for money.
