What a find! A good 2* hotel, in a great location - literally just a few paces from Place de la Bourse, in the heart of the old town. Excellent value, very clean. Breakfast was OK. Bars and restaurants are all around, but there was no issue with disturbance. Helpful staff organised taxis and stored luggage.

Stayed here three days in September before and after a bicycle tour. The hotel is fairly basic but is in the perfect location steps away from the Place de Bourse, the St Pierre bar and restaurant district and the tram stop. The rooms are comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel represents good value for money and... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in September and were delighted with our stay. Friendly staff, smallish but very comfortable room & we enjoyed the breakfast that was correctly priced for the offer. Were able to visit all the major sites on foot directly from the hotel. For us the huge advantage was the close proximity to the underground parking... More

We stayed at the Acanthe last week as part of a package booked by Bordeaux Cycle Tours who were excellent. Our room was fine but on the first of two nights, there was a highly unpleasant pong of drains in our bathroom. We mentioned this at reception and were told that it was due to the road works that were... More

I stayed in the Acanthe Hotel for three nights during a recent stay in Bordeaux, and I would definitely consider staying there again. It is a good budget hotel just off the Place de la Bourse and near the Grand Theatre, rail lines to the Gare St. Jean and walking distance to great bars and restaurants in Bordeaux. In fact,... The Aacanthe is a super little place, very reasonably priced and a brilliant location right in the centre of town. This has it'sdrawbacks of course, it was noisy outside as you're about 20 yards from Place de la Bourse, and there was noise pretty much all night. Once the drunks had finally gone home, the recycling and street cleaning lorries... More

Ideal for visiting the sights of Bordeaux. Clean, friendly hotel. Book a room with air conditioning in the summer. Bit noisy first night we arrived as there was a festival going off. Breakfast good value compared to other places we stayed during our holiday. If arriving by car you need to park in a nearby underground car park which we... More

just a perfect trip, acanthi hotel is in a very good position, behind Place de la Bourse, and it is so near to restaurants and shops! Rooms are very comfortable, during the night you have silence and beds are very comfortable. We did not have breakfast at the hotel. so i can't say nothing about it. Rooms are really clean... More

We stayed there for 3 nights. We had a "comfort" room. The room was large. The bathroom was also large. However we had no view, but it gave us a very quiet room. The room and bathroom were very clean. The breakfast was a typical French breakfast. The bed was on the soft side, not my liking. The staff was... More

As they say in real estate, location location location and that is this places strength. Situated on Rue St Remi (restaurants galore), right behind the royal square, just a short tram ride from the train station, this is an ideal place to explore old Bordeaux. It's a charming place, well kept and enough character, service was typically French, not overly... More
