The hotel is opposite the Opera House and is quite a walking distance to most of the place. Bordeaux Tourism Office is just stone throw away. One need to check in at Hotel Secours before one could obtain key to the room. Disadvantage: The room carpet was very dirty and smelly. In fact at one corner of the room, smelled... More

Small basic rooms but amazing location right opposite the Opera House. We could hear a soprano singing one afternoon. There is no air con but rates are cheap. There was an electric fan in our room. We had a tiny balcony with a window box of red geraniums. Very quaint.Staff very friendly and helpful. They spoke English too.

While in Bordeaux FR, we stayed at the Hotel de l'Opera. Beautiful hotel right in the heart of the city, right next to the Magnificent Opera House. Room was clean and pretty good size, looking out over the city square. Parking was in underground city parking lot (not affiliated with hotel), so a little effort packing of bags to the... More

The receptionist - Paul was a wonderful guy I had ever see before. Good attitude and services. Prompt answer and patient for him. I would like say "thank you" to him and his collegues during I stayed in the hotel.

The hotel de L'Opera is a very basic hotel squeezed along a street facing l'opera de Bordeaux. We only stayed one night there and it was just enough for what we needed. Simple and small but clean room. We could have done with some air con rather than a simple fan as our room didn't had a window on the... More

If you're looking for a simple hotel in the centre of Bordeaux then the Hotel de L'Opera is ideal. Located just opposite the market place, right in the centre of the town, and about a minute's walk from a tram stop, it's the perfect location for exploring the beautiful city. The hotel has rooms across five floors, with a small... More

The Hotel de L'Opera is perfect for a short stay in Bordeaux. What it lacks in size and quality it more than makes up for in location. You couldn't be any nearer the centre of the city and the main tourist attractions. Also, the vast number of bars and restaurants are all just minutes away. Perfect. The hotel is actually... More

I love staying in downtown Bordeaux, close to the theater and the open shopping area and this hotel meets all the needs. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are nice, definitely European style. My only real complaint is, if you have car, there is no easy parking. There is street parking out front, but that is usually... More

We took the "discovery" package offered by the municipal touristic agency, which included (2) nights at the hotel and a selection of activities (city tour, wine tasting, bus tour to (2) wine producers, ...). This hotel selection was ideal (1 minute walk to the agency) to enjoy the program. In addition, it is in a nice portion of the city,... More

This hotel is ideal for a short break in Bordeaux as it's very central and inexpensive for a City Centre hotel. The staff are friendly and although the rooms are basic they are clean and adequate and if you visit Bordeaux you'd want to be out and about not spending time in your room!
