I must admit, I was less than impressed when we arrived at the hotel to find no one at the reception desk and a key with our name on a note sitting on the desk. However, to give them a fair write-up, it was around 5 p.m. on a Saturday and later in our stay, the staff was absolutely wonderful... More

Near the center, walks ok, no peace to sleep. Missing elevator, it is necessary to pull all the luggage on the narrow steep stairs up to the 3rd floor. A bed for two has only 140 cm, no air conditioning in the rooms, there are only fans, but not enough. The window cannot rest open at night, there's noise, drunks... More

This hotel really took us by surprise. Some of the photos showed the rooms to be quite old and dated, but our room was very modern, with everything we needed. We would definitely stay again. Although the hotel is situated about a 10 minute walk away from the centre of Bordeaux, we found this to be a bonus. It was... More

I have stayed many times in this modest hotel, one block back from the Gironde, and a short walk from the city centre. It is in the St. Louis district, with a real Bohemian feel, and a wide choice of good bars and restaurants within a stones throw. Rooms are small but well equipped- television, hair dryers etc. , and the... More

My friend and I shared a twin room for the night while staying in Bordeaux. The hotel is conveniently located just a block or so from two different tram stations. The room was small, but average for a mid-size hotel of the price. We were very comfortable during our stay.

Make a note of this room number and make sure you avoid it unless you are a) colourblind, b)no more than four feet high c)you don't mind a view of a grotty service gully out of a high window and d) not claustrophobic, for the decor is pink, mustard, orange and maroon, if there are two people in the room,... We found this hotel through Lonely Planet - and it was definitely a find. We had a room which was small, but with a big bathroom - our room was located on a side street - thus, very quiet. Kinda tough hauling the luggage upstairs - but otherwise, good price and a nice location. Only watch out for the public... More

Good value, pleasant, small hotel. Situated in quiet area but near to a variety of restaurants and bars. However, no lift and stairs are steep, so may not be suitable for less mobile.

having stayed there on two more occasions this year after having written my first review I feel I need to add a few things; 1) If you are arriving after 6pm you need to call in advance to get the door code to get in as there is no receptionist after 6pm on weekdays. Not sure if you will have... More

Wonderful hotel without major frills but clean and in good taste with powerful wifi and close to the contemporary art museum, galleries and river, trendy restaurants and away from the drunken tourist streets
