Great designs, nice toiletries, very comfortable bed (seriously fluffy pillows!), amazingly peaceful, quiet sleep, handy location, it ticked all the boxes. Only one warning, think twice about booking the green room if you are 6ft tall or more. This room has a low sloping ceiling and I could see where it could be hazardous for some. I'm 5ft, 3in so... Lovely, relaxed, small, stylish house in old part of Bordeaux. Elegant rooms. Opposite famous bistro La Tupina. Great area for the food market, quirky shops, bars and cafes of St Michel. Trendy and relaxed part of town.

We stayed in Chambre Noir (no numbers here - just colours) which is a delight to the eyes. Works of art and curiosities abound, most of which are for sale. The absence of a television is inspirational - how many beautifully decorated rooms have we stayed in that have been disfigured by the box on the wall that we never... More

My best experience in Bordeaux - I loved all the restaurants ( they have four of them on the same street) and would come back just to experience more of it. Bordeaux is an excellent base if you want to go to the various wine regions and come back at night and just have some of the best food! The... More

We spent one night at the maison Fredon. On the plus side, our room was wonderfully decorated, sober, contemporary and with a lot of style. It is right out of a high end decoration magazine. The bed and bedding were wonderful and we had an excellent night. The large shower was also perfect and all staff we have been in... More

Stayed at Maison Fredon as part of a wine bloggers' trip from the UK. Rooms were all spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathrooms had awesome showers and a good range of products. I like the fact that there is a separate toilet from the bathroom. Complimentary bottles of still and sparkling water were appreciated and replaced each day. Breakfasts... More

We spent a night in this hotel and were really impressed. The room and bathroom were newly refurbished and and the decor was fantastic. We had no problems at all with noise and it is not that far to walk into the heart of the town. La Tupina restaurant which is directly across from the hotel was fantastic. One of... More

Our room was extremely comfortable, with a huge bed and soft feather pillows and a walk in shower room you could really spread out in! The hotel has been recently refurbished and everything is spotless and very comfortable. The decor is a clever mix of "shabby chic" and modern which works in a very French way. The hotel is a...
