We stayed two nights in this completely renovated hotel. The staff was very nice, but whoever did the redesign cared more about style than function. For example, the storage space in the rooms is largely hidden by the sleek lines, and quite hard to open due to the lack of handles. Similarly, the shower doors are very sleek, but lack... More

Dear Sir, First and foremost we would like to thank you for your time writing a message on Trip Advisor. The Hotel Burdigala was entirely renovated this summer, not only the rooms and suite but also the bar and restaurant. The designer thought of a sober and elegant atmosphere in the whole hotel. Yours remarks are sensible and smart and... More

Charging premium prices for a hotel that is still stuck in the late 70s/ early 80s is a crime! Very Snooty front office. Breakfast is €21 and the maitre D treats you like a criminal if you do not give your room number immediately. OK so Robert Parker stays here, but we aint mugs. More

You are still better than the nearest and newest competitor. Excellent position, good clean air con. rooms. food good and all essential free secure parking under the hotel, which is rare in Bordeaux. Very central, Place Gambetta is 2 mins away and your in the centre. Longing to return More

We stayed for two nights in this hotel and ate two included breakfasts and a meal on our own one night. The hotel is just off the old city center on a main thoroughfare, but the room was very quiet and very comfortable with all the modern conveniences (free wi-fi, etc.). The food was spectacular at both the breakfasts and... More

I booked a business meeting here for forty people over 4 days. I was very satisfied with the final result. We used the hotel's largest meeting rooms - Echoppe 1 and Salle Conseil. Both of these have a very large screen and good quality projectors. There is natural daylight, functioning aircon. Salle Conseil had plenty of space for a group... More

The hotel is in serious need of refurbishment, I do alot of business travel and there was so much furniture in the room you couldnt move, it was old fashioned and the heating/air con didnt work and took 3 calls to get something done about it. Room service food quality was atrocious! It is expensive for what it is but... More

We were attending an International Conference which was being held in Hotel Burdigala and booked a deluxe double room for 4 nights. Location: It’s not in the Historical section of Bordeaux , approx 15mins walk into town. We didn’t find it a hassle as we actually enjoy walking. However; we did have some elderly people in the conference & they... More

It was okay, staff was good, but hard bed, location and overall feel of hotel left me feeling like I way overpaid. It is near a tramline stop and large grocery store, but wasn't much else within a few blocks. About four blocks to Centre Ville. More

We waited too late to book, so when a couple of well-reviewed-but-reasonable hotels were not available, my husband panicked and booked here. On the plus side, it is a bit outside the historic district so we avoided driving the older streets entirely. They charge 10E/day for parking but they did comp it for us, so ask. The breakfast was not... More

The ONLY reason to stay in this four star property is if you have business in the Merideck area which is easily a 15 minute walk to the historic tourist areas. If you're moving at a leisurely pace then it's a 20 minute walk, which is certainly not convenient. Also, there is really nothing interesting to look at as you... More
