The previous post suggests that the hotel is being refurbished - I was obviously in a room that hasn't been touched - for a 100 years!! Just spent another 4 nights in the Hotel Bristol and were not disappointed! Particularly friendly and helpful staff with a great welcome. The good news is that the hotel is gradually being refurbished and upgraded - although the dingy lighting and long delays for hot water appear to remain! However, the bad news is that the rates have been increased.... more
We stayed three nights in this hotel and found it to be perfectly adequte for those on a budget. It's very conveniently placed on Place Gambetta, handy to the pedestrianised zone, walking distance from all the sights, and is clean and comfortable.
