Not really a 4* , more a 3* hotel. I m a regular MERCURE customer and this one has been a disappointment. Rooms are dated especially the ugly curtains and the soft mattress. I requested a quiet room but I was awaken everyday by the noise in the corridor or from the other rooms (children running and screaming...). Not many... More

Actually stayed in 2013, but found our old holiday itinerary and decided to leave a note. Arrived after a long drive and was tired got a few hours sleep in our comfy room, woke up around 9pm starving. By the time we got downstairs to get something to eat, everything was closed. A trip out into town and we found... More

Dear Stripey 1960, Thank you for sharing your opinion on Trip Advisor. The restaurant is closed on week end and banks holidays. But all the reception team is pleased to recommend good restaurants at walking distance from our hotel. We wish to have the pleasure to welcome you again to have a chance to taste our own restaurant on opening... More

Ideally located if you are attending a show or conference but not if you plan to visit the city. A major problem with this hotel is noise. Bedroom doors are not installed properly therefore there is a large gap between door and frame. Consequently you can hear in the bedroom everything happening in hallway. The staff is not a 4*... This hotel is very well situated if you are going to visit the exhibition hall nearby. The double room we had was rather spacy and nice, but there was no place to unpack our bags. The closet was only ment for jackets and trousers. There was a safe installed which we appreciated. However, there was no mirror and soccets situated... More

Mercure Le Lac has recently had a refurbishment, and everywhere is clean, fresh & smart. The reception area is particularly stunning. Our room was quiet, comfortable, large and airy, and food and service in the restaurant was excellent. We stayed here for six nights in September 2014, and the hotel - situated close to the ring road and the motorway... More

Enjoyed our stopover here, wasn't a huge fan of Bordeaux but we loved the wine region St Emilion and the surrounding area. Staff here were helpful as our car broke down and the girl at the desk was very helpful with arranging a taxi and help for us. The breakfast was good and had a lot of variety. Shopping centre... We stopped for one night in our travel to Spain. Good location. Close to the motorway but at the same time quite quiet. Lot of parking spaces. Staff was friendly. Clean hotel. Good breakfast with the usual continental stuff.

This is a nice hotel, though it will be better when the tram extension is completed. Nice large car park. Cold swimming pool. Good breakfast with some hot food (egg, sausage, "bacon") and the usual continental stuff. Pleasant helpful staff. Rooms large and in good condition (in fact the whole hotel sparkled). At present to get to Bordeaux take the... More
