We stayed there on June 14-15 (two nights). The rooms are quite small, and there is no air conditioning. As the summer temps hit 30 degrees the room was a small sweat box. If you opened the window the noise from the train station opposite, the trams, and the locals yelling inexplicably made sleep impossible. The lobby was very nicely... More

My wife and I stayed here on the last night of our Explore Gourmet Cycle Trip of Bordeaux and I can honestly say it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, small rooms in desperate need of a refurbishment , no air on and to noisy to have the window open especially at night with shouting and screaming... We recently spent two nights at Hotel du Faisan (3 & 4 June) visiting Bordeaux, the first stop on a weeklong trip towards the south of France. Its quite an old place and looks very run down. We had a twin room which was so small we couldn’t pass each other walking round the bed ! Also keep in mind... More

Very small noisy rooms. Only good thing is that service is friendly and good if you have an early morning train since it's across from the train station. The hotel is in need of renovation and the area around the hotel is not very pleasant. It is cheap but that shows also.

Stayed here with family for 1 night. Hotel has an excellent location opposite train station. Hotel is basic but clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was average. I would have no problem staying there again given the good location and good room rate.

Located just across the road from the Gare St Jean train station. The airport shuttle stop is also just across the road. We paid about £50 per night (without breakfast) - breakfast is very basic continental so you are better saving the extra money you would have paid and eat elsewhere. No restaurant in hotel but the TGV restaurant next... More

My sister and I stayed only one night here en route to St-Emilion and were really just looking for a place to sleep off the jet lag. The room was tiny and no-frills. In general the hotel was clean but a bit shabby. No a/c, and as the night was warm we kept our window open and the fan running.... More

We stayed here for 5 nights last week. The hotel is well placed for public transport. It is quite basic, and when we were there the lifts were not working owing to flooding. We had to climb 3 flights of winding stone steps, which would be very daunting for the elderly or less able. The room was clean and adequate... More

We missed our flight from Bordeaux airport so had to overnight in Bordeaux so we could then catch a train to our destination. Therefore, we wanted to be as close as possible to the train station so that we wouldn't then miss our train the next morning. It was a very good thing, as we slept through the alarm and... More

We stayed at this hotel in July with very hot weather. There is no a/c in the hotel, but the fan works very well. We were fine despite the heat. Hotels near train stations tend to have questionable neighbours. That said, we felt fine in the evening. It was clean, had wifi, and the staff were very helpful. The location... More
