This is a small but clean hotel. It is in a perfect location for exploring the city. Rooms are small very basic but comfortable. Some rooms over look the main shopping street and it can get pretty noisy at night with the revellers coming out of the bars. Other rooms overlook a building site where the workmen start at 6am.... A nice, somewhat different, clean hotel smack in the centre at a good price! I can recommend it, especially if you also want to go to Galleries Lafayette across the street. Very nice staff and the decoration is a bit unusual. The breakfast is French, do not expect egg and bacon! I will come back!

A great little hotel, very clean and centrally located to sights, transport, restaurants, cafés and bars. Booked a single room which was compact offering all the facilities needed. Had 3 nights here and felt very comfortable. Would stay here again.

We stayed for just 1 night but had 2 nice rooms. They were very clean, comfy and both had an air con + a TV. You get the most for an affordable price. The staff was okay, but not above the average of french service, which isn't to high in general. the location couldn't be better, since you are in... More

Have stayed here on two occasions and found it to be very good. Have recommended la Presse many times, but on this occasion we were given a very small room for two. Hardly room for two suitcases. We thought we had booked direct but now realise we were shunted through Gala Hotels site and I feel they couldn't care less... More

You can't beat the location of this hotel, a short walk in any direction takes you to the major sights of Bordeaux along with a lot of the top rated restaurants on TripAdvisor. We had room 428 which is a superior room (I understand these have a slightly larger bed and are on a higher floor compared to the standard).... More

An excellent location and good value, however rooms are very small and the wifi wasnt great and the it did'nt have much of a vibe. That said it is a good option if you want a good clean room in heart of city.

Ok, so apart from the fact that you are paying 80e to sleep in a room (316) that is only slightly bigger than a coffin, the macabre theme is played out to full effect by: rising damp in the walls; halloween-style cobwebs in the toilet; and, the piece-de-resistance: this...thing (pic 3)...on the wall to greet you in the morning. I'm... More

We stayed in a double room on the 2nd floor, away from the street, so no problems with street noise or anything. Has the basics you could need - bed, tv, space for luggage (a big plus) and a bathroom of course. However, there is no safe, no fridge, no towel rails. tiny wardrobe. As we were only there for...
