Great location. Main entrance was shut, so had to enter via the bank next door. Room was spacious. Air con was non-existent. Slightly odd layout to the room, but served its purpose. Almost not enough furniture for a room so big... Would recommend a stay once the renovations are finished!

Lovely hotel, carefully planned within, presumably listed.buildings, the one drawback would seem to be that it is a mile walk to the centre. There were alterations ongoing, which meant a lack of foyer, just a small desk with one lonely person ina small passage. One `fault’ common to other hotels in the group is that the Parking listed is an... More

A modern hotel, our 'Premier' room was spotless and enormous. There was a glass fronted lounge with some pretty arty furniture next to our room, and a well designed terrace bar/restaurant on the top floor. Situated a minute from one end of the main Riverside walk, in a small newly built business centre. Very quiet during our stay.

This is potentially a very nice hotel, but it needs better management to see it is run properly. We were there for a long weekend recently and did enjoy ourselves even if the place was fairly chaotic. There were renovations going on which meant the bar and restaurant were closed, but there was no warning of this when we booked.... More

We had a great long weekend in Bordeaux at this lovely hotel. We opted for a room upgrade, paying about €25 over the course of 3 nights which was worth it, IMO: it came complete with a nespresso machine in the room, free (non-alcoholic) minibar, dressing gowns and slippers. We didn't opt for the breakfast as this seemed expensive but... More

Stayed for five nights, one of which the air conditioning broke down. Could've happened at any time but the heat was oppressive. Did get a part refund on the room though which was unexpected. Fixed within 24 hours and was lovely when working. Staff were friendly and helpful especially as I was practising my poor French. Room was clean and... More

We stayed at this hotel for three days and found everything about it to be first class. Our room, which was an upgrade admittedly, was great, the roof top restaurant has wonderful panoramic views of the city and served one of the best breakfasts we have ever had in a Mercure. The location cold not be better almost on the... More

Stayed here last week for abusiness trip to Bordeaux / Cognac. Hotel has a great location close to the river and has a roof-top restaurant with amazing views.....BUT.... upon checking in, the receptionist couldnt find my friends booking, despite spelling his name several times (She then found it and blamed his spelling...of his own name!!) hotel was undergoing repairs to... At first, the reception was disappointing. When we got to our room, it was a great relief. Nice, clean, refreshing and modern room. We had mad a reservation for 3 nights, but finally stayed for 5 nights. Great location, near restaurant and walking distance to the downtown area.
