We stayed for three nights and enjoyed our stay - the best thing was the friendly personnel - from the reception to the dining and bar staff - they were all very helpful with advice about places to visit etc and very friendly. When we enquires about tours, the receptionist phoned the tourist office and booked for us - and... More

This hotel was approximately €180 a night, close to the railway station and has parking. There is a tram to the old town just outside. The room was ok and the staff helpful. The car park entrance is approximately 50 metres before the hotel entrance with a lift to the reception area. Car spaces are tight.

I have just returned from a weekend stay at this hotel. On arrival on Saturday, reception was extremely busy, there was only one receptionist on duty. Having queued for around 15 minutes when it was our turn the receptionist informed us she could not check us in, she was dealing with check outs. She told us to take a seat... More

I've been the guest of an event [la tribune de la presse] and being in this hotel. You'll remark its clean and comfort room and minimalistic ambience. It's close to everywhere and practical. I recommend it.

This establishment is located near the train station but rather removed from downtown Bordeaux where the main attractions are. While the neighborhood appears fairly safe, it is not too attractive. The hotel suits well backpackers who can walk from there from the station, but may not be fitting more sophisticated crowd. The room was reasonably okay but the carpet on... More

. We had booked a lovely restaurant for Sunday lunch & didn't want to drive back to our rented accommodation so chose this hotel because it was on the tram route & had secure parking. Overall it " does what it says on the tin" but was unhappy with the security side of things. On arriving back fairly late, it... More

stayed for the Medoc Marathon mid Sept, three different rooms over three days, first one shower didn't work, second one bedside lamps didn't work - one had no bulb in! Third one we got as a late checkout.....NO AIRCONDITIONING in 32 degrees heat, and I see one reviewer said it wasn't working in August! Therefore they let business guests out... More

We had a very comfortable stay at the Gare St Jean Mercure in Bordeaux. It is convenient for the train station and within walking distance to a reasonable selection of restaurants. The room was comfortable and the staff was pleasant. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, but rather walked to the nearby Marché des Capucins to buy fresh... More

I've stayed in this hotel before - when it was a Holiday Inn. The change to the Mercure brand is a positive one, even if the signs on the outside wall are a bit gawdy. The main benefits of this hotel is that it is quiet but well located. It is in a residential/commercial district, yet very convenient for the... More
