This is a very pleasant hotel right in the middle of everything, but because it is in a side street it is very quiet. 2 steps to the trams and buses including the local airport bus which is cheaper and much more frequent than the bus on the airport website. The main shopping street starts just around the corner and... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Majestic in mid-September. The hotel is conveniently situated for sightseeing and also shopping. It's also only a minutes walk from the tram (which is great if you need to get to and from the Bordeaux Gare). The rooms are a wee bit dark but I suspect that's just because of the musical decor.... The Hotel Majestic is a block from the river, the tram stop and the beginning of the old town, with the Ste. Catherine main street just at the theatre plaza area nearby. Restaurants, wine bars, the tourist bureau (for signing up for day trips to Medoc, St. Emilion, and walking tours) and all pedestrian oriented areas are part of this... More

We loved our stay in Bordeaux, a wonderful city for walking. The Majestic is very well situated for exploring the city, and quiet at night. My only quibble was the window curtain in our room. The hotel has a musical theme, decor-wise, and our window sported a curtain with a full sized silhouette of a musical conductor, baton raised. Waking... More

Really glad we chose this hotel. It was very close to everything. Walking distance from shopping, restaurants, tram stop and around the corner from the tourist office, where a lot of the tours leave from. The room and bathroom were spacious, although the best part was the staff. Incredibly helpful and even allowed us to check in early. They had... More

The Hotel Majestic is a perfect location for exploring Bordeaux. The old city is right on the door step of the hotel and restaurants and bars are easily found. Our room was spacious and clean with a nice bathroom, the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast is nothing special for 11 Euros but typical for France. My only complaint... More

This is the fifth time I have stayed here and you cant beat it for location or price. The staff are very helpful, the rooms are comfortable with all you need to have a good nights sleep (blackout curtains, air conditioning, quiet) If your thinking of having a few days in Bordeaux try this hotel out you wont be disappointed.

We came here in August 2011 and we chose this hotel as we wanted to take the tourist bus the next morning and the bus leaves from the nearby square, Place des Quinconces, about 300-400 yards from the hotel. The hotel is also very centrally located, just minutes walk to the centre and shopping area. When we arrived we registered... More

There are certainly more luxurious hotels in Bordeaux (like the Grand a block away) but why waste your money? You are near everything you would want to see and the staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are more than adequate and a nice touch is double-windows to tamp down the noise since some of the rooms front a busy street.... More

We loved Bordeaux, we loved the Majestic. The hotel is one block back from the Garonne and near the Place des Quinconces. We stayed here for 2 nights in August 2013 and had a Superior room on the 2nd floor. The room and en-suite were very spacious and well-appointed, there was also a balcony to view from. The price of... More
