The hotel was newly renovated compared to last stay (>5 years) With a location close to Place Gambetta and short walking distance to Place de la Bourse, no location can be more central than this hotel. The breakfast included in the price 110EUR single stay was sufficient and the freshly pressed oranges was an added bonus. more

A friend and I (two 20-something girls) stayed in this hotel for three nights in August, and would recommend it for a short stay in the city. The location is as good as it can get, in easy walking distance of the cathedral and old town, and surrounded by shops/restaurants. The hotel itself is not luxurious - shabby round the... more

A good place to stay in central Bordeaux: nice and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is generous and good quality. However, probably best to ask for a room at the back, not on the street. Although street is very quiet, you get delivery lorries coming early in the morning. Otherwise, no traffic. more

Stayed in this hotel for two nights in early september. About a €10 taxi ride from the train station which wasnt too painful. Hotel itself is centrally located near shopping streets, accessible by tram too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Biggest downpoint of the hotel is its decor, which is very old fashioned. Wallpaper in our room was bright... more

A hotel in the centre of Bordeaux for walkers only - don't take a car, or luggage. The hotel is set in a fine pedestrian area. Access and set down though is not for the faint hearted, and long stay parking is a further half a mile away. Reception had no idea how to get you back from the carpark... more

I stayed here for one night for a day and half's stop over before returning to UK. Perfect location for being on my own so felt comfortable at being central and could pop back during the day to drop off shopping! Easy to get to from station on the tram(one change and stop at Hotel de Ville for 1 Euro... more

We got a reasonable deal online for this hotel but even so it was really expensive for what it was. The location is OK but a short walk to the restaurant area the Quality Hotel is very very near the restaurant area. The outside and reception areas of the hotel look really great but we had the tiniest room without... more

This hotel is in a great location- right in the middle of the historic center of Bordeaux. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was average but good. The room was average, but very clean. This is a great economy hotel. Unfortunately, my room had a view of the inner courtyard skylight, but I didn't go to Bordeaux... more

Great location, excellent value for money. I recommend for anyone staying between 1 - 4 days in Bordeaux as it's the perfect base to explore the city. The breakfast was a bit disappointing but you're within spitting distance of several cafe's with a great offering. more

The best western Grand Francais in Bordeaux, was my second choice as the Quality Inn was fully booked (and it does appear to be in a better location than the best western, but only by a few yards). The best western is in a perfect location, walkable to nearly all the sights, the main shopping street and the cathedral. I... more
