It is a nice hotel, but it's a old refurbished hotel and you notice that some places, the restaurant is very good and the food was great, specially the Cesar Salad which was fantastic. The rooms are normal size and the toilets a bit small. They are doing some works on the hotel to improve it and that makes it... More

We spent two nights at the Novotel Hotel in Bordeaux. The hotel is outside the city centre but conveniently located near a tram station. This tram station is not shown on most of the old maps. The hotel is also near the lake Le Lac. We checked into the hotel late in the evening and had dinner ast the hotel... More

Under renovation at the moment. Great free car park and very close to tram, direct line into centre for 1.5 euros. Good breakfast included in price. Bar had no atmosphere so we used the bar at Pullman hotel over the road. Hotel suitable for a 1 night stopover.

Clean and well maintained hotel however the evening meal took forever. When we received the food it was wrong. We sent it back. Took another 40 minutes for it to finally arrive. Having ordered a sirloin steak I was disappointed when it arrived. Over cooked and more fat than meat. I'd stay again but wouldn't eat here. Food lovers avoid!

After fleeing from our horrid All Suites Appart Hotel, we decided to book with Novotel for our 3 night stop over and boy do they live up to their four stars. We got the deluxe room, huge shower, amazing king size bed, kettle, teas, coffees, water, separate toilet from shower, an amazing couch in the room which can serve as... More

During my very short stay in the Novotel Bordeaux le Lac I run into a couple of problems one of which was serious. The day and night reception staff went out of their way to assist me. Without their assistance I would have had a major disappointment. My problem is that I am terrible with names but if the staff... More

The reception was light and bright and the rooms newly decorated. We had a room on the top floor overlooking the lake. Although close to the motorway and a large shopping centre the hotel was very quiet with free on site secure parking. We had one of the best meals we’ve ever had in a Novotel and I would highly... Positives : Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, good secure parking, and close to the exhibition halls. Negatives : Entrance not so easy to find (possibly temporary due to works on road and tramway), Restaurant menu was limited and food served was of poor quality. Breakfast was expensive for what amounted to standard hotel fare.

We had 'le weekend' in Bordeaux and decided to stay here, just outside the city: the tramway will reach here by the end of the year. The hotel has been attractively upgraded and we found the service efficient and effective. This is a good base from which to drive to explore the Medoc (as we did) but equally to drive... More

Stayed for one night during August with family. Hotel is outside town but near bus and tram lines, we had a car so we could travel into town to see the sites etc...Drive into town took 10/15 mins.
