Valerie makes you welcome here and luckily spoke a bit of English for us as we are still struggling to speak French. A walk of a few minutes will get you to a a tram stop and into town. There are no restaurants nearby so you may need to catch the tram to the city. If you have a car... More

We stayed in the Le Braiser room for 2 nights in April. The room was a delight! Clear, spacious, and in a wonderful house with very pleasant hosts. Truly a good situation. The location is within the inner city - although it is a couple of sts,on the tram to,truly get to tourist areas of the city. The trade-off here... More

Nice home with comfortable rooms in Bordeaux with a friendly host (Valerie). She was helpful with directions, tips on what to do in the city and happy to chat over a leisurely (and delicious) breakfast. Oh and she has a gorgeous pooch too! About a 20 minute walk into the main downtown area, or 5-6 stops on the tram which... More

We just spent 3 days in Bordeaux. Upon our arrival, Valerie greeted us at the door and we knew that we were in good hands. Our room was well appointed and clean. The bed was comfortable. Lots of hot water for showers. Very quiet neighbourhood. Breakfasts were varied and delicious. Homemade confitures were a bonus. Valerie provided us with lots... More

Just returned from our trip to France. We stayed at this B&B for two nights and we can't say enough about our wonderful stay. We stayed in one of the first floor bedrooms with our daughter who has mobility issues. The bedroom was spacious, clean, comfortable and perfect for all of us. Valerie is the perfect hostess who made sure... More

We had a fantastic stay with Valerie who was a very helpful and accommodating host. The ground floor bedroom was stylishly decorated with smart, en-suite shower room which is good for those with mobility problems. Breakfast each day included fresh pastries/breads, home made jams and home made delights such as yummy fruit crumbles/cake or a fresh fig and almond delicacy.... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the "Blue Lodge". The room was beautiful furnished in a historical house (high ceiling). We really felt comfortable. The host Valerie was just fantastic. She organised a winery tour for us and our next accomommodation. And the breakfast with the homemade yummy marmalade (our favourite was the fig marmalade) was just great. We really... More

Just back from a lovely stay in Bordeaux.Valerie was a fantastic host, who helped us every day with organising our activities, from phoning ahead to book our trips to two Chateau and recommending restaurants, cafes and local places of interest. A lovely breakfast was provided daily and the house was beautiful. I would highly recommend A Blue Lodge in Bordeaux... More
