Greeted by a cheerful man with a charmingly idiosyncratic english (still better than my French, mind you) we were given a large, airy room, and a feature wall made of the ancient exposed brickwork. The en suite was modern and stylish with a full-sized bath but strangely had no shower curtain. The ceilings were pleasantly high and there was plenty... More

This hotel is in central location and also accessible by the airport bus No.1, but it is an old hotel. However, I found that they have an annex that has air-conditioned rooms, much to my relief. This is a 2* hotel, and admittedly I am more used to 4 and 5 star properties. Yet the new wing's rooms are reasonably... More

We had three mid week nights at this hotel. The location was perfect close to tram stops and the airport bus which is only €1.50 from the Gambetta. The staff were friendly and helpful and everything was full of promise until we entered the room which was on the 2nd floor. It was extremely hot, the carpet (seagrass or sisal)... More

This hotel is not fancy, but it’s clean, beds are reasonably comfortable and location is superb being literally at the beginning of Bordeaux’s pedestrian-only shopping street that is packed with interesting retail businesses, cafés and restaurants. Bathroom has shower. Staff is attentive and friendly and is situated on rue Bouffard, Bordeaux’s music store street. An expansive mall, Mériadeck, is located... More

we visited Bordeaux for business, so this was chosen for us. it was in a good location, but thought it was a bit pricey as it was not fancy at all. bathroom had been redone and was great, but thought room was a bit tired. not much furniture nor lighting.

Fantastic location and great value (£45 per night) in the heart of old town right next to Porte de Dijeaux (could almost touch from window!). Friendly and helpf Engligh speaking staff and £10 euro car parking discount for 2 nights at Grand Homme car park (present hotel invoice at cashier office for discount). First appearance deceptive as old style entrance... More

This is a great little hotel situated perfectly amongst restaurants and coffee shops. Tram outside front door. Staff are exceptionally friendly by French standards and rooms appear to be recently upgraded. Bathroom small but perfect, fantastic HOT shower. I was lucky to have balcony room to watch and hear the hustle and bustle of Bordeaux, if you are noise sensitive... More

We have been to Bordeaux for work and vacations as well! We booked this hotel without really search it through, so we were kind of afraid about what we are going to face! The room was very beautiful, a bit old fashioned but somehow very pretty and cosy. The bed really comfortable and even though the hotel is located at... More

Friendly staff (though they never answered 4 emails before our visit). Discounted Parking is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. We found it hard to get to the front of the hotel relying on SatNav. We arrived in the early evening and were given a 4th floor room - AVOID these. The roof (4th floor is the roof) is dark... More

This hotel is located right next to the pedestrian street with lots of shopping, cafes and restaurants around. Although it is a 2*, the bed was comfortable and bathroom modern and spacious as I think they have added the extension of the bathroom. Would recommend it even though a 2*!
