We booked the Cap Europe as we were visiting the Christmas markets & we were unable to find any other reasonable priced hotels ,I was rather put off by previous reviews, but on arrival was pleased to find that it was clean (my main consideration), completely acceptable & it was extremely cheap. We were surprised to find the hotel reception... More

You had to wonder when you saw the 35€ price tag for a double room, but the location was perfect and so we took a chance. Our room was small but clean. The bed was comfortable and it even had a small kitchenette with a pot and a few dishes. The bathroom was what you might expect in a boat... More

Went to strasbourg with my friends and stayed at the Cap Hotel for 6 nights. the staff was not very bad. Our room was quite big but empty, nothing on the walls. there was no wifi in our room. (only in reception but very bad). The cleanness of the room was very bad also, and there was no shower products.

Before i visited this hotel i was put off by the negative reviews.Yet to my surprise yet it was opposite of what they describe.Spacious rooms and a well carried service.Maybe it had been refurbished but there were no signs of mould, sewage smell, plastic tiolet or dirtness.we were in room 114.The only drawback was that from the rooms to the dining areas... Went to Strasbourg for the X-Mas markets and staid in this apart-hotel. Quite close to the markets (more or less 8 minutes walking) the room was quite big and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was a first. It seemed like a plain bathroom. It had a little kitchenette. The view was to the parking of the Hotel. The parking is... More

I've stayed at the Cap Europe Hotel with a friend in a superior studio room for 5 nights. Because practially all hotels in Strasbourg were fully booked, we decided on this hotel after reading all the reviews here, so most things did not come as a surprise to me. I'd prepared for the worst and in hindsight is was 'just... More

For € 55 per night for a double room including breakfast, I really wasn't expecting anything fancy, but considering the terrible condition this place is in, the price just isn't justified. It is in desperate need of painting and complete rennovation, there was mould on the ceilings (the black stuff) and mould in the shower (the white furry stuff). There... More

10-15 minutes walk from train station. Good location for centre, only few minutes walk to centre. Room was nice and spacious, bathroom was weird but not very good. It was a tiny wash room, kitchen facilities were ok.

The friendly, helpful, and ultimately apologetic receptionist was this hell-hole’s only redeeming feature. Beware of the ‘glowing’ (obviously very old) pictures of this youth hostel / dosshouse that has the gall to call itself a ‘hotel’. No wonder they require you to pay up-front! The rooms are cramped and look like they haven’t seen a lick of paint in many... More

We stayed in this hotel for three nights and really enjoyed it. It is about 15 minutes from the town center walking, or there is a tram stop nearby. The room was equipped with a small fridge and dishes and utensils and a hot plate. The wifi doesn't work in the rooms that are far away from the lobby, but... More
